Benefit Cheeky Sweet Spot Gift Set

Hi Everyone :)

Today I want to talk about one of the best Christmas gift sets available in stores now. I am not going to do many posts about Christmas sets (but definitely about some Soap and Glory and Nars sets) but there are few amazing sets out there that I think are must have.

I bought this set last month when it came out and I have been playing around with it for few weeks now so I can definitely tell you what I think about the set.

The set I am going to talk about today is the Benefit Cheeky Sweet Spot gift set. This is a set with some of Benefit best selling box blushes.

You get six shades and the cream highlighter called Whats up! and the highlighter comes in a little plastic container and you can remove it and because it is in a little plastic container it won't dry out or get nasty with all the other powders.

The set comes in a tin container and is very sturdy. I would have loved a mirror inside the lid and that would have made it the perfect palette.

The set is not too big, however it is not tiny and I need to find a good place where I can store it.

Normally a full size Benefit box blush contains between 5g-8g and in this set you get 4g-6g of each product, Rockateur is actually 5g and that is the same amount as if you would buy it full size as a box blush. On it's own the box blushers are £23.50 and believe it or not this whole set is only £29.50!

The shades are:
Dandelion: Cool toned light pink
Bellabamba: Warm coral pink with golden shimmer
Sugarbomb: Peachy pink shimmering shade
Hoola: Matte bronzer - great for contouring
Coralista: Shimmering Coral
Rockateur: Dusty shimmering rose

I already own a full size Coralista and Rockateur but I honestly think this set is worth getting. It is a great set for anyone that loves makeup and it gives you loads of option. Hoola is a great bronzer that you can also use to contour. I have been trying each shade out and none of them have disappointed me.
Sugarbomb is not super pigmented but it is great to add some glow to your cheeks.
it.

This is definitely a set to add on your wish list or just go straight to online and get it yourself! :D

Thanks for reading!

My Top 13 of 2013

Hi Everyone..

Yes I am late to the party but at least I showed up! I said to myself: You will post your 13 Favorites of 2013 or you will close down this blog!.. You might wonder why I am soo dramatic, this is a yearly stable post here on My Little Corner, so it is very important.
I have had this blog for few years now but only for the last few months I have been posting regularly, the only thing that has been a stable is my yearly favorite products..!

So now it is time for my top 13 of 2013, these are the products I used the most and I love and recommend all of them. I only included make-up since I would never be able to pick my top skin/body/hair care right now. :)
There is no special order, all of them are my favorite :D

Number 1 -

Bourjois Foundations, if it is the Healthy Mix or the Healthy Mix Serum, I love both of them. This is my second bottle of the Serum foundation but as you can see I am almost finished with the Healthy Mix Foundation.
These foundation have the most beautiful finish and are so amazing. Both of them blend so well into the skin and stay on all day. The Healthy Mix Foundation has a little bit more coverage than the healthy Mix Serum Foundation. But on an everyday basis I love wearing these two.
I have almost the whole range of Healthy Mix products, the concealer and powder and I really think these are one of the top products from the drugstore.

Number 2 & 3

Maybelline The Rocket Volume' Express Waterproof Mascara, I fell in love with this mascara, I got it in the waterproof version and my god it is difficult to remove but with the right eye makeup remover it is no problem. It held the curl all day and gave my lashes Volume and length, I thought it was so black and the brush is so chunky with small bristles that combs the lashes to make sure they doesn't clump.

Dior Diorshow Waterproof, My first ever high end mascara and I really love it. I used it until it dried out. The formula is a bit dry and waxy but I think that helps the curl to hold all day. (that is so important to me, with my straight boring lashes). The brush is very different from the Rocket mascara but it really did work for me. It was so easy to use and even though the brush is quite big it has a tapered end that gets those small lashes perfectly.

Number 4 & 5 -

So I think these are my top three most used lipsticks this year, I only count them as two (a little cheat, I know) but the L'oreal Pink Passion and Maybelline Shocking Coral are so similar, almost the same.

L'Oreal number 371 called Pink Passion, such a beautiful color, this is one of my all time favorite lipstick, I like the formula and the color payoff is incredible. This is called the Intense formula, after it wears off it leaves the most prettiest stain on my lips.

It is a very bright, pink with a hint of coral. It brightens up your face when you wear it.

Revlon Lip butter in Raspberry Pie, this is my go to fall/winter lipstick, I love love love the formula and the color is just amazing.
I would just describe this color as a Raspberry color haha, it is red but not the normal red (makes sense?), it has like a fuchsia tint to it. I just really love this lipstick!

Maybelline Color Sensational Vivid Lipstick in Shocking Coral, This was the lipstick I wore the most in the summer, it is very similar to the L'Oreal Pink Passion but the Shocking Coral is a coral based shade with pink as well (where the L'Oreal one is a pink with coral).
The Color sensational lipsticks have a great formula and this is my favorite color from the Vivids collection. It just makes you look like you made ton of effort when you just put on a pretty lipstick.

From left to right:
L'Oreal - Pink Passion (371)
Revlon - Raspberry Pie

Maybelline - Shocking Coral

Number 6 & 7 & 8

These are my favorite blushers this year.
Two of the are from MAC, the first one is called My Paradise and is from a collection couple of summers ago. I was keeping it safe and not using it for ages but seriously why? The shade is gorgeous and I used it so much this year, I try not to put my brush into the gold since it is super pretty and I don't want to completely ruin it. But it has a proper dent on the other side. It is a proper peach/coral shade and just perfect for summer.

The next MAC blush is called Peachykeen, this is very similar to Nars Orgasm but without the chunks of glitter. I have been using this shade alot in the fall and winter, It just gives a beautiful glow and looks great with any lipstick. The formula is nice and it stays on all day.

Benefit Coralista, I bought this blush this summer and since then it has been my go to blush. I think this is the perfect coral blush. I would recommend it to anyone! A bit weird but I love the way it smells and the brush that comes with it, is great.

Number 9 &10 -

I used so many eye shadows this year but my standout are these two palettes, Mainly because both palettes are high quality and have such a great payoff.

The first one is the Wet N' Wild trio in Walking on Eggshells. I love it! the lightest shade is perfect for inner corner highlight and the middle shade is perfect all over the lid. These shadows are so creamy and I am definetly going to try to get more of these eye shadows.

Soap and Glory Lid Stuff in Whats Nude. Talk about a drugstore eyeshadow quad! This palette has three matte shades and one shimmer one. If you need a blending color or a creamy matte highlight this is for you. It is such a basic eyeshadow quad and I love using it.

Number 11 & 12 & 13 -

Maybelline Master Shape Brow in Dark Blonde. I re-purchased this pencil again this year since I can't be without it, I love it, I go trough it quickly since it is very waxy. My eyebrows are quite long so since this pencil is waxy it keeps them in place. The color Dark Blonde is a great match to my shade. I love the fact that it has a spooly to comb through the eyebrow and to blend the pencil in.

Urban Decay Primer Potion, I got this same tube last year for Christmas (2012) and almost every single time I used eyeshadow which is on everyday basis I used this and I still have loads left. I have been using this product for years now and I will always re-purchase it. Now I am actually trying out other eyelid primers and I will try to let you guys know what I think of them, but the primer potion is just such a stable and does the job perfectly!
The Primer Potion has been in all of my yearly favorites! That says alot :)

Maybelline Fit Me Concealer. This is a surprise favorite, I didn't realise how much I used it this year. I think this concealer is creamy and pigmented. I love using it under my eyes and around my nose. It just covers everything and stays in place.

So that is it! My Top 13 products of 2013!
I was thinking about doing like a step by step with these products so let me know in the comments if you would like to see them on my face :D

FOTD - Cold November Morning ft. Urban Decay Eyeshadow in Smog

Hi Everyone, today was super cold, I am right now at the library and I am just so cold, the days are getting shorter and now it is almost 5 pm and it's already getting dark outside.

I did go to work this morning, only for like two and a half hour and then straight to school but I managed to take couple of photos of my makeup today, so here is my FOTD :)

I know, I look way too serious, don't ask me why haha

Foundation: Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum - This is my second bottle of this foundation, I had a back up of this one and I have been using the Bourjois healthy mix foundation and keeping the Serum foundation un-open, but few days ago I felt like my skin was dry and getting very dull, so I reached for the Helathy Mix Serum. This foundation really makes my skin look great. I will compare both of the Bourjois foundation soon since  I love both of them so much!

Primer - Benefit 'that gal' brightening primer - since my skin was so dull and tired I grabed this mini size that I have, I think this product is okay, it does the job but I'm not sure if I would buy the full size.

Concealer - Bobbi Brown Corrector in Porcelein Peach, this corrector saves my face most mornings since I have really dark circles,

And to finish off my base I used Soap and Glory, One Heck of a Blot powder :)

Eyes:
Urban Decay Eyeshadow in Smog - I took a old Urban Decay Palette with me today, called Show Pony. Mainly because it has Toasted in it, (the same Toasted that is in the Naked original palette). So when I was about to do my makeup I had like a 'hey this palette has Smog in it' moment. Smog is also in the Original Naked palette and it is a beautiful bronze-brown eyeshadow

For my eyeliner I used Jordana Fabu Liner and my mascara is Maybelline the Falsies Waterproof in extra black.

I have Revlon Kissable Lip Balm Stain in Honey on my lips and for my blush I used  FashionistA blush in Butterscotch, I love this neutral blush, it is so pretty

So that was my quick FOTD on this super cold November morning :)

FOTD - Autumn School look

Hi Everyone!

Here is my Face Of The Day. This is a simple Autumn look for School.
The main thing that I used and love is my NYX Eggplant Eyeshadow, so beautiful!!
As its Autumn I Contoured a bit more than normal and used my Sleek Contour bronzer from my Face form palette.

Products used:
Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation
Rimmel Stay Matte Powder
Garnier Roll-on concealer ball
Sleek Contour/bronzer from Face Form Palette
Benefit Coralista Blush
Soap and Glory Eyeshadow Quad in Whats Nude
NYX Eggplant eyeshadow
Dior Diorshow Mascara
Urban Decay Primer Potion
MAC eyelash Curler
Urban Decay Blackout eyeshadow
NYX Soft Matte lipcream in Instanbul

I am just in love with this eyeshadow, I still haven't posted my Cherry Culture Haul, where I got it from. I used the tiniest bit of it all over the lid and I can't wait to use it more, I think it would look lovely in the crease as well.

So that was my Face of the Day :)

What is your favorite autumn beauty product at the moment?
Mine is any product that I can contour with :)

Make sure you comment below if you have your own blog so I can go and check it out.

As Always...

Step by Step - Foolproof Going Out Look For Summer.

Summer is around the corner and I was playing around with some of my makeup the other day and I posted this photo on my instagram (margretscorner follow me:)
And I decided to do a step by step post on this eyelook since it is sooooo easy.

I think it is perfect for going out in the summer since it has a pop of color and I paired it with a bright pink lip :)

Step 1 - Primer Primer Primer... My ultimate favorite is the Urban Decay Primer Potion and I only need a tiny bit for both eyelids.

Step 2 - Next I took my Maybelline gel eyeliner in black, I used it all over my eyelid.
If you use black a an base and then any color (bright metallic) ends up being so vivid and beautiful.
I love this technique

Step 3 - Next I take a light brown color to blend into my crease and soften the edges. My new favorite is MAC kid. It is very soft and I only use tiny bit. You can also use a bit darker brown and get more of a smokey effect.

Step 4 - Pick your eyelid color, I love Urban Decay Hijack from Book of Shadows number five.
Place it all over the black base.

Step 5 - Apply inner corner highlighter, I am using Crystal from the same Urban decay Palette.
It makes such a difference when you do this small step.

Step 6 - Apply more eyeliner :)
On your waterline and upper lash line and I like to wing it out .

step 7 - Curl your lashes and apply mascara, Today I am using the Benefit They're real.
If you dare, apply false eyelashes :)

Step 8 Then go ahead and do some finishing touches.
Fill in your eyebrows,  I am using Rimmel eyebrow pencil in Hazel.

Step 9 - More finishing touches... Creamy light matte eyeshadow on my brow bone to give me a little lift. This one is from Seventeen and is called Ivory Coast

And the eyes are done!
So easy :)

I had to pair the look with a bright lip.
Since summer is almost here I think this look is great for going out and with the bright lip it really   is a summer night look!
I used MAC Viva Glam Nicki (the first lipstick) (I did a post about it here)
And on top I used Chanel Lipgloss (I can't find it right now, I have no idea where I put it but I will post a Instagram photo when I find it with the name)

And for the rest of the face this is what I am wearing:
Bourjois healthy Mix Foundation in 52
Soap and Glory Blotting Powder in translucent
Collection Concealer in shade 1 and 2
Benefit Dallas Blush/Bronzer

So that was my Step by Step to a Foolproof Going Out Look For Summer.

Let me know what you think and if you have tried any of these products?

As always

FOTD - Playing Around With New Products

I was off today so I was playing around with some new products this morning and I really liked the natural glowing spring look so I decided to share it here :)

Products used

1 - Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation
2 - Maybelline The Eraser Eye Corrector and Concealer in light
3 - Benefit They're Real Mascara
4 - Maybelline Fit Me Powder
5 - Seventeen blush in First Kiss
6 - Maybelline Dream Mousse blush in Peach
7 - Revlon Lip butter in Strawberry Pie (Read about the lip butters here)
8 - Rimmel Scandaleyes eyeliners in Nude and Taupe
9 - No7 Eyeshadow in Wheatsheaf
10 - Soap and Glory Brow Pencil

Excuse the CRAZY hair... I had a haircut later that day haha

This was the first day trying the Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation, I have been using the Healthy Mix Serum Foundation for a long time and it is one of my all time favorite but since Bourjois just re-launched the Healthy Mix Foundation I just had to try it. First impression: Very good, gives me a medium coverage and a glowing complexion.
I found the Maybelline Concealer in Boots but it is still not on the stand, I just saw it in the delivery. I have never seen them in England so I was very happy finally finding the concealer. So far so good.
Again it was my first time using Benefit They're Real Mascara, I don't know what I think about it, I like it but it does not keep the curl on my eyelashes.. hmmm...
The Seventeen blush in First Kiss was really good, I used the Maybelline Mouse blush because it gives me such a good glow but I wanted really pink cheeks so I used the Seventeen blush for the first time today and a little goes a long way.
So that is basicly my spring FOTD playing around with new stuff :)

FOTD - Sick day !

Hi Everyone!

ANYWAY... I have been so ill this weekend and I am starting a new job tomorrow YAY!
Today was spent with my lovely friend in Starbucks and I sneaked myself into superdrug and bought myself few bits (I do not want to admit how much I spent) haha, am I the only one that does that?

But yesterday I had to go out in the day but I woke up with the worst cold in a long time! Here are my few steps for a fresh looking face when you feel like just staying in!

First of all... I put on some refreshing peel off mask to wake up my dull complexion. (I did take a photo of me wearing it and put it on my tumblr)

These masks from Superdrug are so good and the are only 99p, I have been using few of them and I am thinking of posting a review soon :)

When you are sick/ill (what ever word you want to use)
The main thing is.. use as little make up as you can.
When your face is tired and looks bad you might want to pile on the stuff but it shows especially when your ill, your eyes are tired and your nose is puffy, you need the right things to hide it.

I used my Wake me up Foundation from Rimmel, wait first of all I did moisturize my skin and then I used  my foundation! It is a really good foundation and if you want more details about it please let me know in the comments:)
Then I used my Wake me up Concealer from Rimmel under my eyes and to cover up the redness around my nose.
To top everything, I used my High beam from Benefit as my highlighter on my cheekbones and the bridge of my nose.

I tried to keep my eyes very natural, I filled in my eyebrows with my Rimmel Brow pencil in Hazel.
I used my NYX jumbo pencil in Milk and highlighted my inner corner and brow bone and blended it out.
The eyeshadows I used are a pretty highlighter color and a taupe color from NYX trio.
I applied them very lightly and then took a black eyeshadow from sleek and used that as my eyeliner, just a tiny bit :)

Here are the pretty colors.

Very natural, soft and makes your eyes look less sick, (trust me, I looked so bad before, the magic of makeup haha)

For my lips, I used very lightly this color, link here

So this is my final look
All that is missing here in this post is my blush, and it is my stable - MAC pinch o' peach.

What is your 'sick'day makeup?

I have to say, I think the mask did so much for me and the foundation just worked wonders. I have been having trouble with the Wake me up Foundation but it really did help me yesterday!

Hope everyone has been having a good weekend :)
Its Monday tomorrow! New week and a new job (btw I'm considering a diet)

Thanks for reading
