Space NK Haul + FOTD with new products

Hi everyone
I went to Space NK few weeks ago and picked up couple of items and I also made a cheeky little order online on Space NK. (since originally writing this post I have actually bought few other things at Space NK and Liberty so maybe I will do a little follow up)

I went to Space Nk and picked up the new Nars foundation, it is the Nars Luminous Weightless Foundation. I love the Nars sheer Glow Foundation so I knew I had to try this one out, it is really good but I might be having some troubles with the shade, I did pick up the same shade as the one in Sheer Glow but the Luminous Wightless foundation is so pigmented that the shades are not excacly the same. While I was in the shop I swatched the new Nars eyeshadow duo from the Spring 2015 line. It is called St-Paul-De-Vence.

Onto the Space NK online order... well for few months now I have been trying to buy the Nars Audacious Lipstick in Anna. It is not available on every Nars counter and when I go to the one that do carry the lipstick it has been sold out! Well the other day I was in Space NK in Covent Garden and I asked if they had it in stock, the sale person went to get it and walked towards me with a lipstick in her hand and I got all excited, finally! BUT NO she looked at it again and it was Anita not Anna that she had, and surprise surprise they were sold out. So when I got home I was fuming and I said for once and all just order the damn lipstick. Then the website said: You are 36 pounds away from a free delivery, HA well that was it. I knew I wanted to try the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Ethereal Light after I saw Katrín María (check her out here) talk about it. I actually had swatched it and thought that it could be similar to the Nars Light reflecting powder. Well I did order it. The weirdest thing is though that the products came in two parcels on two different days. (hmm)

The Nars Luminous Weightless Foundation is fantastic, so far I have been using it for few weeks now and I am kinda in love, I have to do a post with like before and after pictures because it is just so nice. The coverage is medium to full coverage and the finish is a beautiful semi-matte/semi-satin. It comes with a pump and the packaging is gorgeous.

The Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Ethereal Light is so pretty. First impressions were that I was not too impressed, but I kept on using it and now I use it almost everyday for a light dust around my face with a large brush or just under my eyes with a small brush. I did not think I would love this powder as much a I have.

The Nars Audacious Lipstick in Anna is a smokey rose shade, I feel like it has purple undertones and it is very cool toned shade. I actually think it actually gives the whole 90's lip trend a little twist. I don't think I have anything like this lipstick and that is why I just had to have it.

I love the Nars eyeshadow duo's and the new one just caught my eyes. The Nars Eyeshadow Duo in St-Paul-De-Vence is a new product from the Spring 2015 line. The due is described as a nectarine and a chestnut shade. I would say that the left shade is definitely a shimmering nectarine shade with peachy hint to it and the right shade reminds me of caramel color.
This is perfect for my pale green-ish eyes and the right chestnut-caramel shade is my current favourite blending shade. I love wearing that shade all over, it blends out so nicely and has dimension to it. I then take the left orangy-peachy shade and apply it to the inner part on my eyelids. it just gives such a lovely editorial look. A different from the brown everyday look.

I used all four products on my face here:

I know I look extremely pale and to be honest these pictures are quite true in color, it was just so gray outside when I was taking them.

The rest of the products that I am wearing are:

For my concealer I used the Nars Radiance Creamy concealer under my eyes and then the Benefit Rockateur blush. I used the Urban Decay Naked Basic 2 palette but only the lightest shade to highlight my brow bone and then MAC eyebrow pencil in Fling to fill in my eyebrows. My mascara is my favorite YSL and then I used MAC Kohl liner on my waterline and this time I skipped the liner on my upper lash line for a different look.

I currently have really big problems with my laptop and it looks like the hardware is broken. If I leave the laptop for like a whole day it works for couple of hours and then it just breaks :(

I am also a bit down at the moment with my blog since I change my blog address to margretscorner my traffic has fallen down so much, down by 100 hits a day :(
It will take time to build it up again but like I have always said, if one person enjoys my content then I'm happy!

Thank you so much for reading :)

Update - Trip to London and Uni :)

Hi Everyone!

I am starting writing this late at night and I have a feeling I will have to finish this update tomorrow. It is kinda difficult to find out what has been going on when you feel like a part of your life is just up in a storm and you are kinda waiting for it to pass...

Let me explain! The whole plan with moving back to Iceland and getting my own apartment is looking to be fairly difficult. I am still living with my mum and as much as I love her, I have not lived at home for years, enough said.

The most difficult for the last couple of months is the fact that I am in a long distance relationship. Ethan went back to London in February and things are going well but I hate the fact that I can't see him or touch him every day. We do speak every day on skype and whatsapp and things like that but it is nothing like the real thing.

That leads me to the next update, I went to London in March! That is how little we can be away from each other haha! I lived in London for 3 years, I love London, I had a great time and me and Ethan had the nicest week together. I posted few photos on my Instagram :) @margretscorner

Walking on the Strand - Waiting for the Tube - Last day and raining

One of my fav photo of Ethan -  Ethan and I - Me, Sofia and Hannah, old Boots team!

I did do too much shopping, I was not there to shop but when in Rome (actually London) you have to take advantage of the 'drugstores'
So here is a little snap of few things I got:

Makeup, All drugstore but couple of MAC items - The best bits - Hair, Body and Skincare

The reason why I really shouldn't shop is... I am planning on moving back to London! Yes! at least for the summer and I might try to sort my school out so I can just study on my own and fly back for the finals. This is a big decision and all the pieces in the puzzles are still trying to be fitted (is that a saying??)

One of the reason why everything is kinda all over the place is that the teachers at Uni have called a strike on the time the finals are supposed to be on. It was just yesterday that they postponed it. So I am 95% sure I will take my first final on the 28th, before that we had no idea what was going on and the whole country did not know what was going to happen. This has been causing me so much stress.

School is over now and we have about two weeks to study (one week left), I have four finals because we took one final early because it was like a computer test at school for excel and that sort of stuff. Anyway there is just so much to study and not enough time (actually motavation) you just have to make sure you learn the things that will be on the test. Plus one of my teacher is President Snow (lol comment if you get that).

So today is Good Friday, I am finishing this the day after I started (see, I told you), I am home alone for Easter and using that time to study. Tonight I am planning on making a pizza, studying, sorting makeup and watching a movie!

Well I am going to continue studying, two chapters left and I can make dinner haha

Thanks for reading :D

E.l.f. Haul and First Impressions

Hi Everyone

In the end of November I bought some e.l.f products on 30% off with free international delivery. I have not had the change to post it so I am doing it today, I am blogging every day in January.. If you want to keep up please like my Facebook Page :)
I love using offers like that and especially to try out new things. Check out eyeslipsface.com here.

I'm going to show you what I got and also tell you about my first impression. I might do a posts about some of the products later on but here are my initial thoughts. Let me know if you want some more reviews and swatches about the products I got.

Contouring Blush and Bronzing Cream in St. Lucia. - I have the powder version of this and I was very curious to try out the cream duo. I was pleasantly surprised. The cream blends out nicely and I was worried about the product being very pigmented and the fact that I am fair and it is difficult to blend some cream blushes. I just blend it out either with my fingers or my favorite way with brush. The contour color gives a healthy glow to the skin and I think I will be able to use it more in the summer when I want more healthier glow. The blush color is very pigmented and looks so nice. I doesn't feel sticky after applying this cream product, I have to play more with these and see what I think but so far I like it.

Eyelash Curlers - I really like these. They have become my everyday eyelash curlers. They do not tug on my lashes at all and give me a nice curl.

Eyebrow Kit in Light - This was such a wanted item. Everyone raves about it and I had to try it. So far so good. I finally went and had my eyebrows shaped since I moved back and I have been playing around with few items to fill them in. I really like the wax side and hopefully I will do like an eyebrow post soon.

Studio Matte Lip Color in Natural -  I like this but I think I need to put lip balm on before. These last few weeks I have had such dry lips so it has not been an ideal situation for using a matte lip color. I will try to use it more in the next few weeks and maybe do a lipstick of the day with it.

Eyelid Primer - What a product! This is comparable with the Urban Decay Primer Potion, keeps the eyeshadow crease-less and on all day.

Liquid Eyeliner - First time I used it I did not like it but then I tried it again and I loved it. It has such a small precise brush and just makes a straight line in a quick way. It is not the blackest liner I have but I have been using it almost everyday since then.

Powder Brush - I don't really like this brush, maybe it is because I don't really know what to do with it. I read somewhere that some people love to use it for foundation and I tried it but didn't really like it. I think it is not really a great powder brush, to thick if that makes any sense. I will have to try it out more. If you have it and love it please tell me how you use it.

I got three eyeshadow brushes...

The basic eyeshadow brush - everyone talkes about it, about how nice it is. I haven't even tried it properly, it feels just so harsh. I need to try it before I make my decision but I don't think I will like it.

Defining Brush - I have used this one few times and this one is my favorite out of the bunch. It is so soft and helps blend out the outer corner. I like it.

Eye Crease brush - this brush is so harsh! I need to find a way to use it. Maybe to blend out eyeliner. There is no way I would use this into the crease. I don't really know...

Well I like most of the products, I need to try them out a little bit more, especially the brushes. If you have any e.l.f. brushes feel free to tell me how you use them and why you like them.
I have way to many brushes so it will take a lot for me to like new brushes and use them instead of my regular ones. :)

Tell me in the comments if you have tried any of these products and if you like them :D

Thanks for reading

Cherry Culture Haul

Hi Everyone :)

I was just browsing online and I saw that Cherry Culture has offer on almost every NYX products and then a 25% off NYX products as well at the moment, it ends tomorrow but there are always some sort of offers. The code is NYX2513
Check out Cherry Culture here

Last time when they had NYX on an offer I made an order and I was so happy with the price and how fast the parcel arrived. Here is my late 'little' haul

NYX Eyeshadow Trio in Copper/Rust/Bronze -
I am actually re-purchasing this eyeshadow trio. Few years ago I 'borrowed' this eyeshadow trio from my mum and forgot to give it back haha, it was well loved and so broken after few years and I had to throw it away, there was only one eyeshadow left in the trio anyway. When I saw it on the website I knew I would love it again.

NYX Round lipstick in Spell Bound - This is a dupe for MAC Chatterbox, I will see if I can borrow chatterbox from my sister to do a blog post about these.

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Instanbul - I really wanted to try this and I like it so far. You can see it in action here.

NYX Mega Shine Lip Gloss in Beige - Omgosh, this is my favorite lip gloss!

Jordana Fabu Liner - I saw loads of people talk about this eyeliner on YouTube and since it was so affordable I bought two, just in case if I would love it that much, I would need a back up.

Milani Color Statement Lipsticks in Sangria and Flamingo Pose - I saw these lipsticks for only $5.49 such a good price, Few months ago I read about these lipsticks on Beauty Broadcast and Emily had posted review off all of them, I looked at her swatches and found the two that I had to have. I really want Primrose as well, there are so many pretty colors.

NYX blushers in Peach and Dusty Rose - These are one of my favorites blushers and I have to do a post soon with the NYX blushers that I have, Dusty Rose is a perfect winter blush!

NYX eyeshadows in Taupe Pearl, Eggplant and Green Tea - NYX eye shadows are such a great quality and these singles are amazing, Love love the eggplant one, I have a FOTD using it here.

I am very tempting to make an order right this second, but I am already waiting on clothing orders from boohoo.com and asos.com

Is online shopping a addiction? nooo not when you are stressed out of your mind and need a bit of retail therapy haha

The Sunday Post

Hi Everyone

It's Sunday Evening and I just wanted to blog a little bit, I didn't really want to edit photos or write a review but just a little catch up and a ramble..

Uni is getting more manic every day and I am starting some sort of Final Exam 'boot camp' next week for two of my courses. Apparently it is the way to get you through it with good grade. It is expensive but I really want to go. Would you spend 70 pounds for one course 'boot camp' 5 days intensive studying and going through over ten old exams? These five days are spread over a month.. Well I think I will fork out the money.. for both courses, so goodbye 140 quid :'(

On the other hand Downton Abbey started showing here in Iceland tonight and omgosh.. I am a big Downton fan and I really really really love it! What did you think of the first episode? If you want to talk Downton, come and chat with me on my tumblr here. I personally love Mr Branson, Anna and Mr Bates. I almost cried when Lady Mary cried with Mr Carlson! And that Nany West, I would of killed her right then and there. Seriously, I have so much to talk about but I don't want to leave any spoilers here!
I really recommend this Tv show, it is such a surprise when you start watching it!

Two other shows that I am addicted to right now but will be a subject for another blog post are The only way is Essex and Grey's Anatomy..

I have been going over some of my random photos and sometimes it is so difficult to post on Instagram since I have a horrible phone that does not listen to orders, I have loads of random ones and here is one pretty one of one of my favorite nail polishes :)

Here I am wearing China Glaze, Orange Knockout (Neon) and the glitter on my ring finger is Nicole by OPI, Rainbow in the S-Kylie from the Kardashian Collection.

Also I did a cheeky little MUA shopping the other day and instead of posting a full Haul here on my blog, I posted a picture of the Haul on Facebook, You can check out my Facebook page and like it if you want  :)
Here is what I bought...

From left to right:
MUA matte lipsticks
FashionistA gel liner in Cute Route
FashionstA Shine Stopper, Loose Powder
MUA Matte Foundation
FashionistA Secret Mattifying Primer
MUA Cover All Concealer
MUA Lash Boom

Have you tried any of these products? I have started playing around with them, So far, so good!
I can't wait to try Lash Boom but I have too many mascaras at the moment so I am saving that one.

Enough with the rambling tonight, I am already feeling bit more relaxed so I might go to school tomorrow or just take a day to read and chill, I was at school yesterday (Saturday) and also today so maybe I will just not go.. sometimes you just need days like that right..

Thanks for reading and hopefully you are having a nice Sunday!

FashionistA Haul - From MUA

H Everyone,

Yesterday I posted Getting ready for Fall (here) and I had my FOTD and NOTD a little bit of clothing as well. I used a new FashionistA eyeshadow called School Days and few other new bits.
I said in that post that I would post my MUA haul today.. and here it is :)

I would not call this MUA haul since I did not buy a single item from MUA but everything I got was from FashionistA. This is a fairly new brand and has been sold in Superdrug for over a year now. I was always very interested in this brand but my nearest superdrug did not stock it and when I went to a large Superdrug I just picked up things that I knew and wanted.
But recently MUA started selling FashionistA on their website (link here) and on top of that everything is 75% off! At the moment you can still buy almost everything from FashionstA full price on the Superdrug website (not sure about in store).
All these products are priced on the normal (a bit high) drugstore end, for example the mascaras are normally £7 or £8 and the foundation is originally £12, (L'Oreal True Match is £10.99 for comparison)

Because of the original price I was very interested to try out this brand. I already bought 3 lipsticks and filled a whole palette of blushers (Haul here)
I did not want to make any reviews or talk about these products until I got more products from FashionistA and until I had tried them all out for a while.
I am still trying them and I can't wait to make few great posts about these products, they are just so pretty and I love the packaging on most of them..

I have had my love/hate relationship with the MUA website and tried to order all of this when there was 30% off the other day. But it did not work and I was very disappointed, but then few days after that offer they announced a free international shipping! I was so happy, I do live in Iceland now and the shipping is minimum £8, So I jumped on, and got all of this stuff.
I paid £25.45 for all this stuff and customs here in Iceland did charge me 2400 krónur and that is around £12. I knew that was going to happen but I was fine with that.

So here is the stuff I got

From Left to Right:
FashionistA Foundation in Nude - £3
FashionistA Compact Powder in Fair  - £2
FashionistA Plumping Lipgloss in Coral Couture - £1.25
FashionistA Secret Gel Eyeliner in 24/7 Style - £1.50
FashionistA Supermodel length Mascara - £1.50
FashionistA Maxi Volume Waterproof Mascara - £1.50
FashionistA Double Take lipstick in Red Carpet - £1.50

This is the reason why I made this order:

I got two palettes and filled them up with six eyeshadows, one blush and one bronzer.
But if you buy 4 eyeshadows/Blushers/bronzers and the palette you can get all that or 7pounds  and save a bit of money there.
So just a quick one.. these eyeshadow/blushers/bronzers come in a single pan and you custom make your own palette, I already have a palette filled with blushers (you can see it in this haul here).

You can change them around when ever you want and the quality is really good.
Each one is 1.65 and the palette is 2

If you have any question about these products please comment below and I will answer them in my upcomming posts.. :)

I can't wait to post reviews and swatches of all my new FashionistA stuff,

If you want to get updates about when I find about offers like free international delivery from some of my favorite websites, go onto My Little Corner Facebook page and like it :)

Haul! MUA and FashionistA + Random Bits

Hi Everyone :)

Few weeks ago I ordered from Make Up Academy (website here) and they have recently started selling FashionistA on their website, and I am trying to make another order right now but there is some problems and it does not finish my order but the money is reserved on my bank account, so I am waiting for a response from MUA and hopefully one more tiny order has been done haha!

AND... this bank Holiday weekend MUA has 30% off on all orders over 15 pounds, just use the code MUA30!

First off I had to try out the new MUA blushers, they are still only £1 but they have new shades, new packaging and they all have names now. I picked up three shades in Marshmallow, Cupcake and Candyfloss

Because I have been loving the MUA lipsticks I picked up three more and I think that will be it for MUA lipsticks, I don't like frosty or glittery lipsticks and I feel like the shades that I don't have do have that sort of finish. But I will talk about that in my MUA lipstick post which I am planning to post soon :)
The Sades that I got were shade 2, 3 and 13.

I had to get FashionistA blushers, I had been reading reviews and for the last month I just have been obsessed with blushers so I got one of the fill it yourself palette and picked 4 blushers (they are on a offer and you can fill your palette for 7 pounds), I am trying to order two more palettes at the moment and also eyeshadow, so I can custimize my palettes more (add eyeshadows and bronzers). But I will DEFINITELY post more about these because they are amazing.
The blushers I got were: Juicy Apricot, Butterscotch, London and Blushing Coral.
How amazing does the London Blush look!?

I ordered these kinda blindly, I did order 4 lipsticks but the fourth was out of stock so they refunded me the money, but I really wanted that one, it was called baby doll pink.
Anyway I really really like these, they are only £1.65 at the moment, What a bargain!
The shades that I got were: Raspberry, Ultra Pink and Natural Pink.
I personally love the packaging! What do you think of red shiny packaging?

That is all I got from MUA, but I really want to make one final order with few eye shadows as well.. so hopefully I can in the next few days

But then Ethan picked up two random items that I really wanted
The new Rimmel Scandaleyes Eyeshadow Paint in Rich Russet and MAC Fluidline in blacktrack, I had one ages ago but all my gel liners have dried up so I needed one and this one does not disappoint you.
And hello, Rimmel just keep on bringing out great products!

So that is my haul, it was all very affordable (maybe not the MAC liner).
I love MUA and I really hope they will sort my issue out so I can order more with the 30% off discount. I will let you guys know how it goes...

Anyway, hope everyone is having a great weekend..

Haul! Goodies from America!

Since I moved to Iceland (3 weeks ago) I thought I would not be shopping for make up for a long time, however my friend was also moving to Iceland few days later and guess what? She was moving from Seattle! So I asked her to pick few things up for me and I regret not asking her to buy the whole store!

I have never tried anything from Wet n' Wild or e.l.f. so I asked her to pick up things that I have heard everyone talk about but never seen or tried!

Wet n' Wild lipstick in Sugarplum Fairy (Dupe for MAC Rebel, there will defo be a post about that)
e.l.f. blush in Twinkle Pink
e.l.f. blush and contour duo in St. Luicia
Wet n' Wild palette in Comfort Zone
Wet n' Wild palette in Walking on Eggshells.

I am sooooo excited to try all of these products.

I am so excited about these new things :)

Have you tried any of these and what are your favorite??

You can tell me in the comments below and if you have a blog and please leave your link so I can check that out :)

Oops I did it again... New things in..

Today was a really rough day for me.. I went to the dentist and unfortunately she could not continue with my treatment and I need to be referred to a specialist or a dental hospital.

She numbed me extra well and I could not feel anything around my tooth but if she touched the top of the root I got shooting pains.. I was in tears again and the main reason was frustration, I just want this to be finished :(

So I had to go into Boots after my appointment since I had a prescription and while I was waiting for it to be ready I had to exchange few things and pick up a small gift for my sister and since there were few offers on I grabbed three things for myself.. and like I said I had to exchange few things so I hardly spent any money..! :)

Revlon Lipbutter in Wild Watermelon, this color still has not been put on display but I saw it the other day (in the back) while I was at work and I had to have it! It is the perfect spring/summer color.

No7 Instant Radiance foundation, I have seen Pixiwoo (check out their youtube channel here) talk about this foundation and recommend it so I decided to try it out myself since I love the No7 Stay Perfect foundation.

Barry M Gelly Nail Paint in 10 Lychee, I love Barry M Nail polishes in general and I saw Estée from Essiebutton talk about this polish and she was wearing it (link the video here) and it looked really nice so I picked it up.

Well this is just a quick post for today and hopefully tomorrow I will be getting my hair cut but until next time...
