The Sunday Post... Late August Favorites

Hi Everyone, it's getting a bit late and I can't stop watching The Real Housewives of New Jersey. I forgot that it had started again so I am already on episode 6 this evening. I just can't stop watching! Am I the only one that is obsessed with The Housewives??

I wanted to post my August Favorites the other day but I just kept on forgetting to write it. I decided to throw it in a little Sunday Post this evening :)

Nars Sheer Glow Foundation - I have been on a little Nars craving lately. I picked up those foundation after falling in love with the concealer. There is a lot of hype around this foundation and I will admit that I love it. It is so natural but good coverage. I think the shade is perfect for me and it blend out so perfectly.

Nars Radiance Creamy concealer - This was one of the first recent Nars purchase and I fell in love, it is very creamy but not so creamy that it creases under my eyes. It conceals almost everything and lasts all day.

I will do a full review soon with a before and after picture so you can see how the foundation and concealer performs :)

MAC 217 Brush - I just love this brush, it is a must have. I use it to blend out harsh edges. For everyday I use one eyeshadow all over the lid and then blend it out with the 217. The brush is also amazing with cream shadows.

Rimmel Scandaleyes Shadow stick in bluffing - This has been the easiest thing to use in the mornings when I am in a rush. I just love this shade, a beautiful metallic light taupe. It does crease on me if I don't use primer (everything does). I still love it and it makes a good shadow base.

L'Oreal Paris Color Riche Mono Eyeshadows - I have already done photos for a post only about these, just a little heads up, these are amazing. Such a great pigmentation and the shades are gorgeous. The post will be up next week :)

Bumble and Bumble Creme De Coco Shampoo and Conditioner - I am not a person that spends a lot of money on shampoo and conditioner, I did pick these up in a recent Space NK trip and I couldn't be happier. My hair feels so soft and healthy since I started using them. They smell amazing and they leave my hair super shiny.

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water - Every brand has one of these out at the moment. I have tried few from the drugstore and the Garnier micellar water is the best one. It is a great makeup remover and does not leave a sticky residue on my skin.

The Body Shop Camomile Waterproof eye makeup remover - I wear waterproof mascara on daily basis so a good waterproof makeup remover is so important. The reason why I like this one is that it feels soothing. It is a great eye makeup remover but the soothing factor is so good.

MAC Perfume - I have been enjoying this perfume all through August, I am crap at describing scents but I added a perfume collection onto my blog ideas and I might try to describe some of the ones I own. This one is great for every day and smells a bit like sophisticated and girly at the same time.

Well that was it for todays post, hope your week will be good and don't forget to follow the blog on bloglovin :D

Sunday Obsession #7 - 10 Minutes, 10 Products Face

I love Sundays, I am obsessed over Sundays. I hardly never work Sundays and I love doing nothing, watching TV, catching up with friends, going for a nice cup of coffee and reading. But sometimes the thought of putting make up on a Sunday really drags me down... It is supposed to be a relaxing day, but today I had to go out and run some errands so I grabbed few products and gave myself 10 minutes to do my makeup, It was even under 10 minutes so this easy, quick flattering look is a great everyday look.

This is such a basic look and it really makes me look awake and put together, much better than running out with nothing on :) haha

Soap and Glory Foundation and Primer in A Good Light
Maybelline Dream Matte Powder
Maybelline Fit Me concealer
Garnier Roll-On Anti Dark Circles
Mac Blush in Peachykeen
Mac Eyelash curlers
No7 Eyeshadow in Matte Calico
No7 Eyeshadow in Mink
Maybelline Rocket Mascara Waterproof
Mac Lipstick in Cut a Caper

What products do you grab for a quick look?

Thanks for reading as always

Beauty findings for £1

There is no secret that I love a great bargain and when I have a day off I like to walk up to my local small high street, sit down for a coffee and look into poundland.

I made a post about a year ago called 10 Makeup Products for 10 Pounds, which had products I found from Poundland...

It is always different in there and you just have to be lucky to find something great..

Here are few little things I found last week for a £1

I found the Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Nail polishes.
These Nail polishes in general are amazing, the formula is good, and the brush is large and rounded.
I saw the gray/purple one and picked it up, there were about 10 other colors but I was in a hurry and thought I don't need anymore, but the next day I went back to grab a bright pink one that I saw but almost everything was sold out and the only color I liked was this green/teal color.
The one on the left is 404 Greige Gardens and
the one one the right is 450 Fairy Teal

Here I am wearing the 404 Greige Gardens and it lasted around 4 days (while I was working) without chipping. I did try the Fairy Teal tonight and it was a little bit darker then I thought it would come out so I don't know if I like the color.
___

Last week I went to 99p store (Same as poundland except everything is 99p haha)

And I came across one of my favorite products... for 99p!

Yes this is the Garnier Tinted Eye Roll On...

The reason why it's 99p is the packaging is half in Arabic (or something like that)

The product is the same as the one I have at home and the Eye Roll was in a closed box and not used haha
Now I have two brand new (I recently bought one since mine ran out)
(I will be posting a 'empties' post soon)

What great bargain have you been spotting lately?

Products of the day - Minimal makeup

Hi Everyone :)

Today I was woken up too early by builders!
I did not have a busy day but needed to go and get my eyebrows done and find white shirt to start my new job! So I did not want to put too much makeup on today and I wanted 'no makeup' face for today.

These are all the products I used for my whole face :)

Face : Garnier BB Cream (Reveiw coming soon)
Garnier under eye tinted roll (more about that in this post)
Stay matte Powder from Rimmel (more about that amazing powder soon)

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balmstain in 015 Cheris Devotion - LOVE IT
I am going tomorrow to pick up one more shade :) and I will keep you updated on how much I love these.

Eyes are just basic, this is a Clinique mascara, small tube that I have.
And my MAC eyelash curler

To add a bit of life in my face I just dusted tiny bit of Dallas from Benefit Blush on my cheeks.

I only used the big powder brush from Real Techniques and a small random angel brush for my blush.

Well I did take a photo of myself but it really was not in focus and writing this now I have taken my makeup off! haha

Anyway, just a post of the products I use to get a very natural minimal makeup :)
What are the products you use everyday?

In the next few weeks I am going to try to post a blog every other day or everyday with things like mini reviews and continue with my sample challenge.

Have a great weekend :)
Until next time

Favorites: March 2012

How fast is this year going by...

Few things were purchased this month and I did make an order from Avon, and I will make a post about the hair care products that I bought from Avon soon.

Anyway, I have just four products this month, Because I have been trying to focus on glowing skin and minimal make up for the summer.

I used a tinted moisturizer from Benefit last summer, and I will try to stay away from foundation this summer again.. So the arrival of the B.B. creams is perfect.

Garnier B.B. Cream.

This product needs it own blog post, I don't know where to start.
Everyone has been talking about the B.B. creams and I had to try one out. This one is great. Does everything it claims to do and more! My skin looks very good these days. All I use is the cream and then a concealer and powder tiny bit over it! So glowing and natural!

The only flaw is the packaging. I would like a bit more ''nicer'' packaging :/
And not to forget the smell of it. Only when I am applying it, I can smell it.
It does not smell bad at all, it is just that I am so picky of the scent of my foundations and powders.

I still love it, and am currently using it every day!

Rimmel, Match perfection, 2-in-1 Concealer & Highlighter: Skin tone adapting concealer
I really like this concealer, I bought it only because I really needed a new concealer and I did not have any time to look for a new one. So coming home and trying it. It was super good. It stays on, covers my under eye area and all my blemishes.

It is a concealer and a highlighter, which makes a whole lot of difference.
The formula is not to thick and not to thin.
The Garnier concealer i was using before was thin and sometimes did not cover all my black circles under my eyes (I have really bad ones)

It does not crease and blends very well

It does have this brush applicator and all I do is dab a bit on the areas that I need concealed and than bland it with my fingers into my skin.

Avon Lipstick in Pout, Satin finish.

I LOOOOVE IT.
I made an Avon order and picked this lipstick out, (it was cheap, and I wanted to try it)
And what a surprise!

I love this color so much,
I am not sure what it reminds me of, but come on, rosie/nude/pink
It is perfect and in all honesty, I haven't been grabbing my MAC Hue as much after I got this lipstick.
The formula is so smooth and soft.
It will go with almost every look, it is that sort of lipstick that when you don't know what goes with  the look, you would grab this color.

Very sleek and good packaging.

The lighting was not the best when I took the photo, but it looks very natural on the lips.

Avon Face pearls

These face pearls are the illuminating ones, (there are also these bronzing ones)
These do not have any glitter or sparkle, only a great glow

They have a peachy/pink tone to them and a darker skin tone can use these as a highlighter but because I am pale, I use this as a blush. And I love it

The packaging are again great and very sleek

On my skin, They come off as pink with a peachy glow!
Exactly what I have been wanting for summer!

I am so pleased with these and could not be happier with a illuminating pearls like these

That is it for March favorites..

I have to admit, Avon did a great job with these products, I did order a lip gloss as well and that is amazing but I haven't been grabbing for it, mainly because the lipstick is so smooth and gorgeous on its own.

What were some of your favorite products last month

xx

My top 11 of 2011

Here are things that i have discovered this year and or repurchased.

These are things that will always be part of my make up collection and
I will buy again when I run out.

Number 11 –

There is no way i can pick my favourite nail polish, and extremely hard to pick a nail polish brand. However Topshop nail polishes have been a big favourite this year. They are £6 and they keep on coming out with new colours every month and each time I go to Topshop I grab a new bottle!

Number:  10, 9 and 8.

My eyeliners... This has been my year of eyeliners.
Rimmel, Glam eyes, professional liquid liner
Topshop Kohl, in black (and every other colour)
Maybelline, Eye studio Gel Liner in black

I am going to do a blog post on my eyeliners soon and a review on my favourites, (so keep tuned)

Number 7

As my favourite hair product this year and I am on my way to boots now to buy a new bottle is

John Frieda, Sheer Blonde, lightening spray.

This has saved me alot of money in going to the hairdressers to get highlights. I have not coloured my hair all year and it looks more natural and healthy than it has done in years.
I spray it around 2 times a week on a damp hair, mostly the top of my head, comb it, blow dry it and straighten it.
I have recommended it to a friend and she thinks it is the most brilliant product, like I do

Number 6 and 5

As for face product, all I picked was a blush and a concealer.

Maybelline Dream touch blush, in Peach. This gives me the healthiest glow and i always look very natural with that blush on.

Garnier roll on tinted anti-dark circles (concealer) – This product is very important to me. I have horrible dark circles and this works for me. I have used mine all year and I do see a difference. It has caffeine in it and the best thing is, that it is tinted. It works as a concealer and it is a very light formula so the under eye area does not get cakey at all.

Number 4

Urban Decay, Naked. Eye shadow pallet.

I cannot image my life without this pallet. It is my ultimate favourite eyeshadows of all time. And this February Naked 2 is coming out here in the Uk, and I am already on a waiting list for it!

Number 3

Rimmel Kate Collection Red lipstick, number 01.

A lot of lipsticks wear purchased this year and this one just stands out for me. Love it

Number 2

Urban Decay Primer Potion.

I have had this in my collection for over 2 years now, and everytime I run out, I need a new one.

Number 1

My fluffy eyeshadow blending brush. I have few of them but my MAC 224, is my ultimate favourite! I would not be able to put on eyeshadows without this brush and this is a basic blending brush for every one

So that is my list...

I need to squeeze in two other products here and that is my MAC lipstick in Hue and my MAC paint pot in Trophy. Both amazing products that I use too much!

Hope you guys enjoyed this and what are your favourite products this year?
