Mani-Monday... Topshop - Profound

Hi Everyone

I found one of my favorite transitioning, summer to autumn, shade ever. It is a mix between a dusty purple, lavender, nude and beige. At least that is what I think. It is not too bright or too nude. I just loved how it looked with my skin tone

I am a big fan of the Topshop Nail polishes and I think for five pounds you can't go wrong. It is impossible for me to pick up one when I go into Topshop Oxford Street, there are just way too many shades available so the other day I picked up three new one. The one I am wearing today is called Profound.

Topshop - Profound
You can find it here :)

I think the formula of the Topshop nail polishes is opaque, fast drying and long lasting. I normally use top coat and I will probably do a post soon on my two favorite top coats :)

The brush is wide so it is easy to apply, I always paint my nails in two coats, even if the polish is very opaque, it is just a habit. Honestly I think nail polishes last longer if you do the first coat really sheer and then the second a little thicker. Anyway back to this nail polish, it was very easy to apply.

I just can't get enough of this shade, I haven't seen a shade quite like this, it doesn't look much but in person the shade is gorgeous.

If you have any great summer to autumn shades to recommend to me, please let me know :)

Mani-Monday... Barry M - Greenberry

Hi Everyone,

While I have the time right now, I want to post my Mani-Monday :)

I am planning an update post tomorrow so check back if you are wondering why I have gone MIA :)

I bought few new nail polishes while I was back in London (I came back with 9 new nail polishes) and few of them were from Barry M Gelly Hi-shine.
These are without a doubt one of my favorite nail polishes that you can get in the drugstores or just anywhere.

They are only £3.99 and they last for a long time, very opaque and very shiny. They dry quickly which surprised me since the formula is thicker than normal polishes. I just love them :)

I would describe Greenberry as turquoise but with a mint shade mixed into it, (light green undertones). It is very difficult to photograph this shade and if you have the chance I really recommend checking it out in stores.

Well thanks for reading and keep your eye out for few fun updates on the blog soon :)

Mani-Monday... The Mint edition

Hi everyone

It is still super cold here in Iceland but I can't wait for spring. I just got a new watch sent in the mail few days ago. It is super cute and the best thing, it is a mint color! I pulled out a mint necklace I got from ebay, you can see it here when I posted a little ebay haul.

I also got the watch from ebay (link here) It is only 3 pounds with free international delivery!

I just had to have Mint nails so I used one of my favorite spring nail polishes and that is the Rimmel Lycra Pro nail polish in Peppermint.

There is actually a little story behind this nail polish, like year and a half ago, everyone was talking about this shade in the blogging world. It is very similar to Essie Mint Candy Apple. So once me and my boyfriend was shopping and he was rushing me to pick my third item for a 3 for 2 offer. I couldn't decide and then I saw this shade and I thought, yes I have to have it.
By the time I was home and about to take a shower, I looked down and I had this shade on my toe nails! Yes, I bought it twice without remembering I had it AND I was wearing it.
At that point I did take a break in shopping and now I make sure I know my stash before I go shopping :D

Well I had to add a 'little' glitter!
Rimmel Lycra Pro in Peppermint with the OPI In true Stefani Fashion, my current obsession

So, that was it, I hope everyone has a great week ahead...

Mani-Monday... Chanel with Glitter!

Hi Everyone!

Happy Monday! Even though it is super late it is still Monday.. I had work this morning and then a bit of school but then Iceland was competing in handball (big game) and me and my friend had to watch it so we went and got a burger and cider while the rest of the girls sat in class (lol) and then we all went out for super nice dinner to celebrate a inside joke, it was super nice and I had such a great time. This Monday has been amazing! Hope the rest of the week will be the same.

Anyway, I was wearing one of my top winter nail polish from Chanel on my nails but since I bought a new nail polish from the Gwen Stefani line from OPI, I had to apply it on top. The pictures do not do it justice since the glitter is amazing.

I spoke about the Chanel Nail polish in Blue Satin in my top Favorite Winter Nail polishes (link here)

It is such a beautiful color.
The star is the OPI Gwen Stefani Nail polish called In True Stefani Fashion and it is a clear based glitter, the glitter is tiny silver particles and chunky holographic pieces.

I love love love the glitter polish! I am a total glitter addict and I am thinking about going to get more of the nail polishes from the OPI Gwen Stefani collection.
Have you picked up any polish from the collection?

Thanks for reading, I have to go to sleep now, or at least take off my makeup...
btw, I got two deliverys today! Haul comming soon :D

Mani-Monday... OPI Midnight in Moscow

Hi Everyone...

It is Monday!! I am loving regular posts right now, like my Mani-Monday or The Sunday Post. I don't do them every week but it is nice to have something certain to post when you have a busy schedule.
Something I am very excited about is a new mini series I am going to do on Fridays and that will be Top Five Friday. So at least two Fridays in a month I will list my five favorites of something. Let me know if there is anything special you want to see. I already have few ideas and there are few brands I want to include in top five favorites :D

But anyway the nail polish I am wearing today is OPI Midnight in Moscow. I have had this nail polish for a while and I always use it around this time of year. I love how dark it is. It is almost black with red micro glitter/sparkle. It gives it a beautiful finish and I really love how this nail polish looks.

What is your favorite OPI nail polish? Have you tried this one?

Thanks for stopping by.. don't forget to follow the blog on bloglovin :D

Mani-Monday - Orange Knockout (Neon)

Hi Everyone...

Today was the first day back to Uni. I had to wear one of my favorite show-stopping nail polish I own.

It is a complete orange neon nail polish. It does dry matte but I applied top coat to make it shiny.

The nail polish is from China Glaze and is called Orange Knockout (Neon)

I got so many compliments and I absolutely love it

The nail polish is sooo neon, it does not translate in the photos!

What do you think of neon polishes?

Thanks for stopping by, I have been blogging every day in January and I want to keep it going. I have loads of ideas and post in the making but feel free to give me any ideas about what you would like to see on my blog:D

Mani-Monday #8 Essie Bikini so Teeny

Hi Everyone :)

Second week of school and things are already getting busy, I am not sure how I will manage with everything since I might be starting a second part-time job but sometimes you just have to push through! right?

But anyway Today's Mani-Monday is a recent purchase from Fragrance Direct, (Haul here.)
I have been lusting after this color for ages, It did not disappoint me at all! I love this color,
This color is from the Summer 2012 collection but I manage to get it for 1.99 pounds!
Bikini so Teeny is a beautiful baby blue with a very very subtle silver sparkles, which gives the color a beautiful shine.
I was wearing this color straight for 5-6 days and it barley chipped, I did not even use a top coat!
I am just in love with this nail polish and I am sure I will be wearing it loads next spring.

I really really like this Nail polish
My first impression of Essie few years ago, was when I bought a pale nude pink color, it was not Fiji but another color which I can't remember but it was crap! so I haven't bought any Essie nail polishes until I got three the other day, and I am so impressed with the formula on this specific color! it was sooo long lasting and opaque.

Has anyone tried this color? Or any Essie nail polishes and really liked it? give me suggestion of what colors to get :)
Have a great week everyone

Mani-Monday #7 Rimmel Lycra Pro in Ultra Violet and Sinful Colors in Frenzy

Hi Everyone, it's been few weeks since I posted my Mani-Monday.

Rimmel Lycra Pro is one of my favorite nail polishes but they have been kinda discontinued, I say 'kinda' because Rimmel has brought out the Rimmel Lycra Pro Kate Collection (Kate Moss) and the only difference is the packaging, the colors still have the same name. Kate Moss picked 10 new shades but most of the old shades are still available.

The brush and the formula are the same so if you want to check out some of the old shades they are available on Fragrance Direct here. You can buy them for 99p! that is crazy.

I bought all of my Rimmel Lycra Pro Nail polishes a while back and they are one of my top formulas for a nail polishes. Long lasting and very opaque. I totally recommend Ultra Violet, it is a beautiful rich lavender/purple creamy color.

I love glitter so I had to do one accent nail with Sinful Colors in Frenzy, it is a multi color purple and blue toned glitter.

I love both of these nail polishes and I think this look is so pretty :)

Today's Mani-Monday is Nails Inc. St. James.

This is such a pretty classic color, a true shiny red. and it has tiny sparkles, you can't really see it on the nails, only in the bottle. It gives the nail polish a special 'umph'...

That is the fact about Nails Inc. polishes, the have a special something...
Plus I do love the name since they are all 'London' things :)

You can find the color here and it retails for £11.

Mani-Monday #5 - Barry M in Peach Melba

It's Tuuuueesday! I forgot to post this yesterday so let's just pretend it is still a Monday haha!

Peach Melba from Barry M is a very interesting color, it is not one of my favorite but it still is a very beautiful color. It is a creamy peacy (duh, the name?) color.

It is a great pastel color, It takes two coats to get it to be opaque, the first one is very streaky and if you apply the second coat on the thicker side it looks great.
I used my top coat on top to have it extra long lasting and shiny :)

Mani-Monday #4 - Sinful Colors in Forget Now

Sinful Colors Nail Polish recently launched in Boots for £1.99 and when I heard about it, I got super excited.

My sister was here last weekend (there was some shopping done) and I looked in every store in central and only found them in the Boots store in Oxford street (the one next to Bond station)
You can also find them here online (if you know the item code for the color you want you can order them online in your local store for free)

The color is Forget Now and is a bright pink with small sparkles, kinda silver, blue, purple sparkle, soooo girly and pretty.

It is also super shiny and lasts a long time, especially if you use a top coat.

I really like the bottle, it reminds me of the China Glaze nail polishes. :)

Overall I really liked the Sinful Colors nail polish and I did buy few of them when I was in central and I am sure I will be getting few more. Let me know if you have tried them and what colors do you recommend?

I am such a big fan of Barry M nail polishes and I love the Gelly Hi-Shine collection.

A classic shade is the Pomegranate, here are some awkward photos from the bus :)

Such a beautiful color and it is so shiny...

I don't have a picture of the bottle and it is too dark to take a photo now but I will snap one tomorrow and post it on my Instagram (margretscorner) and my tumblr

I own few more of the gelly nail polishes and I have posted NOTD with the lychee from Barry M (here).

Mani Monday #2 - Pastel Polka Dots

Last night I was doing my nails and I posted this photo on my Instagram and Tumblr

And the Nail Polishes that I used are

Rimmel Lycra Pro in Peppermint and Models Own in Pastel Pink.
These are both old Instagram photos that I posted
Instagram: Margretscorner

I know I seriously need to condition my cuticles, Just ignore please.

I took these photos this morning before running out of the house, not the best set up but you get the idea.

I was playing around with a dotting tool that I just got but you can always use a bobby pin or a toothpick to create dots.

This was the first time I done something like this, I am pretty happy with the outcome and I got few compliments today :):)

Let me know what you think ;)

Thanks for reading and have a great week

Mani-Monday #1 - No7 Afternoon Tea

I bought this nail polish a while back. I love the metallic shine and the taupe, brown, gray color it has. this is the No7 Afternoon Tea. It does retails for £6.75 but I recommend that you wait for the £3 off voucher that No7 brings out every few months and these polishes will become very affordable.

They have a large flat brush and it is so easy to use. I like the formula and I feel like it stays on for few days without chipping.

I love the name, Afternoon Tea, I feel like it describes the color perfectly! Right?

I have been playing around with editing these photos, I made the edges round, maybe you won't even notice but I think they look great. I try to take all my photos myself with my old camera and I try to make them work haha. Well I do like it...

Anyway I hope you are having a good Monday so far, I always feel like Monday is the day I have fresh nail polish on so this is the perfect day for NOTD, I will post Mani-Mondays (Manicure Monday) regularly :)
