FOTD - Shades of Fall ft. No7 Truffle eyeshadow

Hi Everyone!

I took these photos few weeks ago and I keep on forgetting to post them so before it's too late to post them here is my Shades of Fall :)

I think it is easy to 'update' your makeup bag for a new season, even though right now in Iceland it is not even fall anymore, it's just cold haha.

For fall I think a neutral blush is really pretty and I love this MUA blush in Cupcake, so affordable.
For lips I like darker lips this season and Revlon Kissable Balm Stain in Crush is perfect.
A beautiful eyeshadow all over the lid is a great way to look like you put some effort in your make up and I am loving No7 Eyeshadow in Truffle.
I have also grabbed my Rimmel Kohl eyeliner for a smudge to define my eyes a bit more.

Face:
 No7 Stay Perfect Foundation
Bobbi Brown Corrector in Porcelain Peach
Rimmel Wake me up Concealer
FashionistA Pressed Powder

Eyes:
I used Soap and Glory Neutral Palette, the light brown and dark brown shades in the crease , just to make it easier to blend out the other color. Then the creamy white shadow on my brow bone.
For a inner corner highlight I used a tiny bit of the lightest shade in the Walking on Eggshells palette from Wet n' Wild.
Then I used the No7 eyeshadow called Truffle all over the lid.

No7 Eyeshadow in Truffle

This is a brown shimmery color with a hint of gold/bronze warm tones. It suits my green eyes perfectly and I think it makes them stand out. It is a great eyeshadow and blends nicely.

The price is £7 but with all No7 products, you should wait until you can get a voucher and that would be £3 off so I would totally recommend buying this eyeshadow for £4. I think it is a bargain when you use the vouchers.

Then I used my Rimmel Scandaleyes khol eyeliner on the waterline and I also tight lined my upper lashes and just to give my eyes definition I just pressed tiny bit of liner into my lashes.

For a mascara I used my Dior Diorshow Waterproof mascara and it is almost finished so I must hurry and do a post about it because it is brilliant.

For my cheeks I used the contour color from the Sleek Face Form palette, it is a matte and perfect for contouring.
For my blush I used the MUA Cupcake blush. It is a brilliant matte dusty soft peach, but very neutral color, a perfect Autumn blush.

My Lipstick is Revlon Kissable Balm stain in Crush is a great long-wearing shade, it is a deep berry shade and compliments the eyeshadow perfectly.
I really like all the Revlon Kissable balm stain and in America they have brought out a glossy and matte version and I hope that one day I can get my hands on those.
Have you tried them yet?

So that was my Face of the 'day' even though it is couple of weeks old, I still hope you enjoyed it :)

Pink October

Hi Everyone!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month,  Everyone in Iceland stands together and wear pink for a whole day, every store does something pink and everyone wears the pink bow for the whole month. Every year a new Jewelry Designer designs a new bow and this year it is made by ORR, (you can see the whole collection here.) I think these are always so beautiful and its a good way to support amazing cause.

Everyone puts there hands together and it makes me very proud how much everyone is involved. Take a look at this video, it's only 1 minute and you can see what I drove past one morning and I loved it haha

I really love the color Pink and even though I own hardly anything pink (chlothing!)  I though I would share with you, how I wear pink :)

Nails:

OPI - If you Moust you Moust
No7 - Daisy Darling
China Glaze - Pink Voltage

Blush:

NYX - Peach
No7 - Cool Pink
MUA - Marshmallow

Lips:

MAC - Speak Louder (Full post here)
FashionistA - Ultra Pink
Revlon - Sweet Tart (More here)

Tools:

Real techniques brushes! So pretty with Pink Handles,
My favorite Blush brush and the stippling brush :)
Finally you can get these in Iceland and I totally recomend these two.

What is your favorite way to wear pink?
I can not make my mind up! I love every way

Getting Ready For Fall

Hi Everyone, it is clearly fall here in Iceland now and one morning last week I was very inspired  and I wanted to do a day time smokey look, a wearable smokey eye, at least for me haha :)

The main eyeshadow I used just came in the post a week ago and I am posting a haul from that tomorrow. But the only reason why I bought this eyeshadow was to do a subtle smokey eye. I had seen couple of swatches online so I decided to buy it and try it since it was soo inexpensive and I am quite impressed with the quality so far.
It is from FashionistA and it is called School Days.

I was using few of my new products, including the NYX blush in Dusty Rose, this is a perfect blush for fall, the name describes it perfectly and it is matte.
I also used a new eyeliner, I bought the Fabu liner from Jordana since I heard so many talk about it. (haul from Cherry culture will be up next week)

I paired it with a matte lipstick from Soap and Glory called Pom Pom and I love it so much, it is a perfect lipstick for fall.

Products used:

No7 Stay Perfect Foundation
FashionistA Powder (New)
Blush: NYX in Dusty Rose (New)
Urban Decay Primer Potion
Urban Decay Tease & Foxy (Tease in the crease and Foxy as a matte highlighter on brow bone)
FashionistA Mono eyeshadow in School Days
Jordana Fabu Liner (New)
MAC eyelash curler
Dior Diorshow Waterproof Mascara
Maybelline eyebrow pencil
Soap and Glory Lipstick in Pom Pom

I really like how the eyeshadow turned out, it was so quick and easy.
That day I went to work in the morning and then to school. This look was perfect for that day :)

I was wearing a new nail polish and I think it is a great fall color.

This is OPI, Did You Ear About Van Gogh
I really like this color, it is a great nude fall color. Sometimes people think you should only wear darker colors when coming into fall and winter but I really like wearing nude colors as well.

I bought a new sweater the other day, and I have been looking for a sweater like this for a while. I wanted a knitted fairly long comfy sweater for school.
My sister found this one for me and sent me a picture and as soon as I saw it I wanted it.

It is a deep purple color, perfect for fall.
It is bought at Sautján here in Iceland.

I am so excited about fall, even though fall here in Iceland is rain and super windy, I still love it...

What are your favorite beauty items for fall?

Thanks for reading as always :)

My Thoughts On... No7 Extravagant Volume Mascara (Waterproof) and FOTD

Hey Everyone!
Today I am going to give you my thoughts on the No7 Extravagant Volume Waterproof Mascara.

Correct me if I am wrong but I think this is an older product but in new packaging with improved formula? At least that is what I think and I have not found any other information online. There is the Extravagant Lashes Mascara which is different.

This mascara has had horrible reviews online and I kinda understand why...
The wand is huge and there is a lot of product left on the wand when you take the wand out. It can really clump your lashes together if you are not careful.
However, if I am being really honest... I liked it.
It coated all my lashes (sometimes too much) and gave me volume and length...

The more the mascara dries out the more difficult it is to apply it. The product ends up clumping on the wand. It was really good in the beginning but I have had mine now for about 2-3 months and it used to be better, still I keep on using it instead of some of my other mascaras.

Here you can see how clumpy the wand gets.

The wand is a plastic wand with tiny spikes at the end of the wand.
It has tiny bristles and there is space between them.
I feel like the formula is wet and especially when the mascara is new.

So this is how the lashes end up, I only applied one coat and I feel like the waterproof formula held the curl well through out the day.
You can see a bit of clumping but still I like it, I am not a big fan of very natural looking lashes because my eyes will just look un-done.
I have the most boring, straight lashes ever and I like it how the mascara makes my lashes look.

The waterproof formula is good, it is not the most waterproof mascara I have used and it does flake if you cry, no smudging just flaking. It stays on all day and if there is no crying or raining, it will hold up well without smudging.

Overall this mascara has a huge wand, it collects extra product on the wand and that can cause clumping.
I feel like it gives me normal length and volume.
The formula becomes worse as it dries out.
The waterproof formula is good and does not smudge.

On to - Face of the day (FOTD) with the products I used:
My make up for the day:
Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation
Bourjois healthy Mix Powder
Wet N' Wild Walking on Egghsells eyesadow Palette (haul here)
Bobbi Brown Corrector
e.l.f. blush and Contour duo in St Lucia (haul here)
Bourjois Concealer
Soap and Glory eyebrow pencil
No7 Metallic eyes eyeliner
The lipstick is MAC Viva Glam Nicki (the original) it is just not in the photo but I have a post about that lipstick here

Let me know if you have tried the No7 Extravagant Volume Mascara, and if you like any of the other No7 Mascaras?

Leave me a comment and your link so I can check out your blog as well :)

Mani-Monday #1 - No7 Afternoon Tea

I bought this nail polish a while back. I love the metallic shine and the taupe, brown, gray color it has. this is the No7 Afternoon Tea. It does retails for £6.75 but I recommend that you wait for the £3 off voucher that No7 brings out every few months and these polishes will become very affordable.

They have a large flat brush and it is so easy to use. I like the formula and I feel like it stays on for few days without chipping.

I love the name, Afternoon Tea, I feel like it describes the color perfectly! Right?

I have been playing around with editing these photos, I made the edges round, maybe you won't even notice but I think they look great. I try to take all my photos myself with my old camera and I try to make them work haha. Well I do like it...

Anyway I hope you are having a good Monday so far, I always feel like Monday is the day I have fresh nail polish on so this is the perfect day for NOTD, I will post Mani-Mondays (Manicure Monday) regularly :)

Sunday Obsession #7 - 10 Minutes, 10 Products Face

I love Sundays, I am obsessed over Sundays. I hardly never work Sundays and I love doing nothing, watching TV, catching up with friends, going for a nice cup of coffee and reading. But sometimes the thought of putting make up on a Sunday really drags me down... It is supposed to be a relaxing day, but today I had to go out and run some errands so I grabbed few products and gave myself 10 minutes to do my makeup, It was even under 10 minutes so this easy, quick flattering look is a great everyday look.

This is such a basic look and it really makes me look awake and put together, much better than running out with nothing on :) haha

Soap and Glory Foundation and Primer in A Good Light
Maybelline Dream Matte Powder
Maybelline Fit Me concealer
Garnier Roll-On Anti Dark Circles
Mac Blush in Peachykeen
Mac Eyelash curlers
No7 Eyeshadow in Matte Calico
No7 Eyeshadow in Mink
Maybelline Rocket Mascara Waterproof
Mac Lipstick in Cut a Caper

What products do you grab for a quick look?

Oops I did it again... New things in..

Today was a really rough day for me.. I went to the dentist and unfortunately she could not continue with my treatment and I need to be referred to a specialist or a dental hospital.

She numbed me extra well and I could not feel anything around my tooth but if she touched the top of the root I got shooting pains.. I was in tears again and the main reason was frustration, I just want this to be finished :(

So I had to go into Boots after my appointment since I had a prescription and while I was waiting for it to be ready I had to exchange few things and pick up a small gift for my sister and since there were few offers on I grabbed three things for myself.. and like I said I had to exchange few things so I hardly spent any money..! :)

Revlon Lipbutter in Wild Watermelon, this color still has not been put on display but I saw it the other day (in the back) while I was at work and I had to have it! It is the perfect spring/summer color.

No7 Instant Radiance foundation, I have seen Pixiwoo (check out their youtube channel here) talk about this foundation and recommend it so I decided to try it out myself since I love the No7 Stay Perfect foundation.

Barry M Gelly Nail Paint in 10 Lychee, I love Barry M Nail polishes in general and I saw Estée from Essiebutton talk about this polish and she was wearing it (link the video here) and it looked really nice so I picked it up.

Well this is just a quick post for today and hopefully tomorrow I will be getting my hair cut but until next time...

Where have I been?- Small Boots Haul!!

Today I was sitting in Costa with my hot cup of latte and my Kindle reading some of my favorite blog... The whole time I was thinking it has been ages since I posted a blog post :( Why you may ask have I been missing from the blog world?

At the moment, me and Ethan are sitting in the dining room with our TV and some boxes. Last week we had to empty our room so all my belongings are in boxes and bags around the house. So most of my make up is tucked away until we finish sorting our room out. We had builders in and out the whole last week and now all we have to do is paint the walls and the room will be ready.

Another thing is that I have a dentist appointment tomorrow and over the last few weeks I have been in the worst pain of my life. Dramatic I know but anyone who has had a major tooth pain will understand, and throw an infection on top of the tooth pain and you might get an idea. But keeping positive it is getting fixed!

So to start getting the ball rolling again, I will be posting more everyday things and yesterday after work I did some shopping... (at Boots obviously)

I stocked up on my No7 face wipes as Boots is doing the £5 off voucher off all No7 Skincare. So each pack is £2 (I also have a discount card and I get them even cheaper).
These face wipes are amazing, they are one of my favorite and I even prefer them over my Simple face wipes.
I do think that £7 for each pack is a bit too much but they are totally worth it. And every few months Boots does the £5 off vouchers.
They clean my face really well and the best part is that they don't leave a wet or a sticky feeling on your face.
I totally recommend these wipes :)

Another purchase was the Soap and Glory 2 in 1 Foundation and Primer. It is normally £11 but was on a offer for £8 and I had a Soap and Glory Voucher from the gift box I got over Christmas and that was £3 off cosmetics. So it was only £5 ad the discount.
I tried it for the first time today and I think I kinda like it. I will do a better review later but it applied nicely and the finish was like a primer but it had a light coverage. So I am excited about trying this foundation - primer out.

These two things have been on my need-to-buy list for a long time.
The first is the Maybelline Color Tattoo Eyeshadow in Permanent Taupe, I don't know why I did not have this color... It is super easy for everyday makeup.
The one on the right is the Maybelline Dream Touch Blush in Berry, I already have two other colors and the Peach color is one of my favorite blush and I wanted one of the darker colors to play with.

So that was my little Boots Haul and a tiny update... I will continue with my Foundation Days and I have decided that when My Little Corner Facebook page hits 100 likes I will have a giveaway with few of my favorite products :) So feel free to like it here and share it if you feel like it :)
