Mani-Monday... Topshop - Profound

Hi Everyone

I found one of my favorite transitioning, summer to autumn, shade ever. It is a mix between a dusty purple, lavender, nude and beige. At least that is what I think. It is not too bright or too nude. I just loved how it looked with my skin tone

I am a big fan of the Topshop Nail polishes and I think for five pounds you can't go wrong. It is impossible for me to pick up one when I go into Topshop Oxford Street, there are just way too many shades available so the other day I picked up three new one. The one I am wearing today is called Profound.

Topshop - Profound
You can find it here :)

I think the formula of the Topshop nail polishes is opaque, fast drying and long lasting. I normally use top coat and I will probably do a post soon on my two favorite top coats :)

The brush is wide so it is easy to apply, I always paint my nails in two coats, even if the polish is very opaque, it is just a habit. Honestly I think nail polishes last longer if you do the first coat really sheer and then the second a little thicker. Anyway back to this nail polish, it was very easy to apply.

I just can't get enough of this shade, I haven't seen a shade quite like this, it doesn't look much but in person the shade is gorgeous.

If you have any great summer to autumn shades to recommend to me, please let me know :)

Thanks for reading

The Sunday Post... Ramble and Update

Hi Everyone :)

I want to get back to blogging and what can be a better way than a ramble little Sunday Post.

Well I am back in London and I have been here almost 4 months, the summer is over and I can't believe how quick it went by. My favorite season is here and I can't wait for September/October months.

I am going to do a little catch up on Sundays here on my blog, I like looking back and seeing what I have been up to (full of myself much?)..  For the first week of September I have been trying to get more organized and healthier. I am trying to make little changes here and there. The week didn't start off well since I was stuck ill at home, I was off work until Thursday, so a slow start. I did manage to go out for a run three times (my little goal is to go at least two times a week) and until Friday I was eating fairly healthy through the days. But this weekend I have been on a little binge, for example, today (Sunday) I was working and I got to the shop and someone had smashed the window at work so guess how my day started...
On my lunch I got myself a magazine (Company of course with Ferne Cotton on the front) and sat down in one of my favorite places Harris and Hoole.

Well I can promise you that I really enjoyed it :) - That Cake!

One thing that I have been putting off all weekend is looking at my Uni stuff, basically my Uni started last Monday but since I am living in London attending Uni in Iceland while working a daytime job (complicated enough?), it has been difficult to sort everything out. I was registered in all courses that I took last year so I spent most days on the phone or sending emails last week. I officially got registered to the right courses last Friday so tomorrow I am already a week behind and I need to spend the next few days catching up (and buying books).

One thing that I haven't been forgetting is shopping... this is my latest Instagram picture (@margretscorner)

I am ashamed of myself... and a little proud (There is more than this)
As you can see I have 'few' new products that I need to use and I will tell you all about it. I also have few great ideas that I want to post. (MAC lipstick collection and one brand FOTD) If you have any other ideas let me know in the comments :D

I am pretty sure I might be going on a spending ban since me and Ethan are going on a little trip soon (I am so excited!). I have never actually banned myself from spending money haha it is a bit silly but I have turned into a little shopaholic recently.

And here are few of my most recent makeup Instagram snaps :)
@margretscorner

I can't wait to get into next week, even though Ethan is pretty sure I have a fever right now and honestly I have the worst eye infection ever (So gross) but tomorrow I start work at 3 pm, I am going to organize my Uni and post tomorrow blogpost up :D

Hope everyone is doing well :)

Thanks for reading this random ramble and don't forget to follow me on Bloglovin (btw I hit 100 followers the other day, more on that soon! <3 font="">

Easter inspired nails :)

Happy Easter Everyone!

I have had a little weird Easter this year, I have just spent it studying but one of my best friend came around last night and we went for dinner and now on Easter day I am at my dad's house for dinner. I am just a bit ill so I couldn't even enjoy dinner and plus I haven't eaten my easteregg yet! In Iceland we have a proper chocolate easteregg and it is filled with candy/sweets, it also has a traditionally Icelandic saying and mine were quite good this year.
Here is a picture of my easteregg before I opened it, this is number 4, I just wanted a 'small' one haha and when I got here to my dads, my stepmum gave me another one number 5. So I have too much chocolate to eat in the next few days!

I wanted to do a little nail-art inspired by Easter, not that this is a proper nail 'art'
I used a dotting tool and I think I should make a little post about them because they were super cheap and I love them. Let me know if you are interested in the dotting tools :)

I wanted to use alll pastel colors and I think it looks very cute :)

I have already planned my next few posts and the next one is a FOTD where I done a little purple on my eyes, but kept it very natural :)

Thanks for reading and if you have a blog, please leave your link in the comments because I love finding new blogs to read.

Update - Trip to London and Uni :)

Hi Everyone!

I am starting writing this late at night and I have a feeling I will have to finish this update tomorrow. It is kinda difficult to find out what has been going on when you feel like a part of your life is just up in a storm and you are kinda waiting for it to pass...

Let me explain! The whole plan with moving back to Iceland and getting my own apartment is looking to be fairly difficult. I am still living with my mum and as much as I love her, I have not lived at home for years, enough said.

The most difficult for the last couple of months is the fact that I am in a long distance relationship. Ethan went back to London in February and things are going well but I hate the fact that I can't see him or touch him every day. We do speak every day on skype and whatsapp and things like that but it is nothing like the real thing.

That leads me to the next update, I went to London in March! That is how little we can be away from each other haha! I lived in London for 3 years, I love London, I had a great time and me and Ethan had the nicest week together. I posted few photos on my Instagram :) @margretscorner

One of my fav photo of Ethan -  Ethan and I - Me, Sofia and Hannah, old Boots team!

I did do too much shopping, I was not there to shop but when in Rome (actually London) you have to take advantage of the 'drugstores'
So here is a little snap of few things I got:

Makeup, All drugstore but couple of MAC items - The best bits - Hair, Body and Skincare

The reason why I really shouldn't shop is... I am planning on moving back to London! Yes! at least for the summer and I might try to sort my school out so I can just study on my own and fly back for the finals. This is a big decision and all the pieces in the puzzles are still trying to be fitted (is that a saying??)

One of the reason why everything is kinda all over the place is that the teachers at Uni have called a strike on the time the finals are supposed to be on. It was just yesterday that they postponed it. So I am 95% sure I will take my first final on the 28th, before that we had no idea what was going on and the whole country did not know what was going to happen. This has been causing me so much stress.

School is over now and we have about two weeks to study (one week left), I have four finals because we took one final early because it was like a computer test at school for excel and that sort of stuff. Anyway there is just so much to study and not enough time (actually motavation) you just have to make sure you learn the things that will be on the test. Plus one of my teacher is President Snow (lol comment if you get that).

So today is Good Friday, I am finishing this the day after I started (see, I told you), I am home alone for Easter and using that time to study. Tonight I am planning on making a pizza, studying, sorting makeup and watching a movie!

Well I am going to continue studying, two chapters left and I can make dinner haha

Thanks for reading :D

Mani-Monday... Barry M - Greenberry

Hi Everyone,

While I have the time right now, I want to post my Mani-Monday :)

I am planning an update post tomorrow so check back if you are wondering why I have gone MIA :)

I bought few new nail polishes while I was back in London (I came back with 9 new nail polishes) and few of them were from Barry M Gelly Hi-shine.
These are without a doubt one of my favorite nail polishes that you can get in the drugstores or just anywhere.

They are only £3.99 and they last for a long time, very opaque and very shiny. They dry quickly which surprised me since the formula is thicker than normal polishes. I just love them :)

I would describe Greenberry as turquoise but with a mint shade mixed into it, (light green undertones). It is very difficult to photograph this shade and if you have the chance I really recommend checking it out in stores.

Well thanks for reading and keep your eye out for few fun updates on the blog soon :)
