Saturday's Autumn FOTD with Kiko Water Eyeshadows

Hi Everyone, I was playing around with some Kiko eyeshadows I bought few weeks ago. I am definitely going back to get more because these are amazing.

The shadows are the Kiko Water Eyeshadows, you can either use them wet or dry. I used them dry today but I am definitely going to try them wet as well.

They are so soft, creamy and blend like a dream. I love the pattern and the 3D effect, just look how pretty they are! The packaging is sleek black and they have a little mirror in the lid which is always a bonus.
I got the shades 203 Burgundy and 205 Chocolate.

I used Burgundy on the inner half of my eyelid and then the chocolate shade on my outer half. I just blended the shadows like crazy and had a little help from my Urban Decay Naked Basic 2 for my highlighter on my brow bone and inner corner, also the shade Cover to help blend the shades together. I used the Chocolate shade on my lower lash line to give it a smokey look.

The rest of the products I used:

I used the Max Factor Facefinity All Day Flawless Foundation (review here) and the Dior Skin Star Concealer, I am still testing the concealer out, I will let you what I think about it in a post soon. To set my foundation I used the Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Sheer Powder, I am really on the fence about this powder, I don't know if it is worth the money :/ I am still playing around with it so, again I will let you know how I am getting on with it.
For my blush I used MAC Blush All Day and I love this natural/mauve/dusty blush for Autumn.
I used the MUA Luxe felt tip liner on my upper lash line and a Nars eyeliner on my waterline.
I used the L'oreal eyebrow pencil to fill in my brows and I really like this pencil.

My lipstick is my current favorite nude lip and that is the YSL Rouge Volupte in number 1 Beige. Honestly one of the prettiest nude color I have ever used.

I forgot to take a picture of the Naked Basic 2 palette but like I mentioned earlier in this post I used couple of shades to highlight and blend the eyeshadows. My mascara is also missing from the picture but I used the Maybelline Falsies mascara.

So here you have it :) Autumn inspired FOTD

Thanks for reading and if you have any great recommendations for great Autumn eyeshadows please let me know :)

Budget Buy: Barbara Daly Longwear Eyeshadow Sticks

Hi Everyone :)

I stumbled up on a blog post a while ago about these amazing eyeshadow sticks that were only £3 and you could get them at tesco! These are the Barbara Daly Longwear Eyeshadow sticks.

I found my way there and picked up two shades of the four available. There was a black shimmery shade and a light champagne shades that I didn't pick up.
The shades that I got are Shimmer Sand (rose gold) and Bronze Gold.

In few words.. these are amazing...

Want me to explain why:
First off the packaging is so classy, really looks like it is worth a lot more than £3.

The product itself is really good. It is very creamy and easy to blend out and when it sets on my eyelids (which are oily and I have to use a primer with any product) the shadow does not crease.

The rose gold shade called Shimmer Sand is my favourite (I think) it makes my eyes look very green.

The bronze gold is a bit smokey when I blend it all over the eyelid and I love it because you can easily build up the color.

In the last few months I have been trying loads of different eyeshadow sticks and these are the top budget shadow sticks you can find.

I did speak with a Tesco employee and he said that the BD range is changing and products are disappearing slowly off the shelves so if you are interested in these, go into the next Tesco extra or order them online here, the only shade I managed to find online now is the black shimmering shade.

Here you can see me wearing one of the shadow sticks

I am wearing Shimmer Sand all over the lid and just smudged it with my fingers. It is so easy to apply and is perfect for a quick everyday look. I really love eyeshadow sticks these days and I will do a post soon on more of them. I think these definitely compare to higher end shadow sticks and the shades are really beautiful.

Thanks for reading and let me know what your favourite eyeshadow stick/cream shadow is?(I already have way too many haha)

September Favorites 2014

Hi Everyone :)

I honestly can't believe September is over, the year is just flying by! I love love Autumn and I am so excited for Christmas. So in September loads of things happened, Uni started again, I went for a weekend trip to Iceland, I went shopping loads of times and bought too many beauty products. I clearly have a problem sticking to a plan but I need to get my act together, not only for my blog but also for uni and exercise, that is the goal for October!! Here are the things that I was using a lot (almost everyday) in September.

The first product is the Too faced milk chocolate soleil bronzer. I bought this bronzer to use as an every day light contour. I have been loving it. The bronzer smells amazing, like chocolate. I own the Bourjois chocolate bronzer and that is supposed to smells like chocolate but this one is so much nicer. I might do a comparison post on the Too Faced and the Bourjois bronzers.
The packaging is super nice and sturdy. I love the consistency of the formula and it applies very smooth on the skin. The milk chocolate shade is the lighter shade and its perfect for me.

Next one is the Nars Light reflecting pressed powder, when I bought this powder I did not believe that it would make any difference to my makeup. I thought it would be a very expensive highlighter. I was so wrong. I use this to set my foundation and apply it all over my face. It gives the most natural glow but keeps my face matte at the same time. There is no way to see the powder on the face. It is so finely milled and smooth. First when touching the powder with your fingers it is very hard and its difficult to get a swatch with your fingers. You have to apply it with a brush. I just take a small face brush (with natural hairs works best i think) and swirl it in the pan and then press it into my skin. It is just so beautiful.

I am addicted to the Laura Mercier Caviar eyeshadow sticks - My current obsession with eyeshadow sticks is never ending and it was just matter of time until I fell in love with these. The formula is fantastic and the stay on all day, the Laura Mercier sticks are bulletproof. The shades I have are called Amethyst and Burnished Bronze and they are so beautiful. I will make a point to wear these, take pictures and post them here on my blog or my Instagram (@margretscorner).

On my lips I have been loving the Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet, the formula is great. These are liquid lipsticks and apply very velvety and then dry to a matte texture. They do not dry out my lips at all. The pink shade is a gorgeous pop of color and the red is very beautiful. They are called 05 Olé Flamingo! and 08 Grand Cru. I took Grand Cru (the red shade) with me to Iceland and I loved how it looks on the lips. The swatches really do not do them justice, they are gorgeous.

Last but not least is the Maybelline the falsies - I am pretty sure I have featured this mascara multiple times on my blog now but I have never actually done a before and after (must add on my to blog list!). I am always trying out new mascaras but I make sure I have either Maybelline the falsies or the Rocket to fall back on if the new one is crap. I always use the waterproof version and it really does make my lashes look fuller and longer.

Well that was short September favorites but to be honest September went by so quickly. I really need to step up my game and sort my uni out. I am such a procrastinator (is that even a word?)

Thank you so much for reading :)

My new MUJI storage

Hi Everyone, hope you are having a good Monday!

I wanted to share with you the new Muji storage I bought the other day. I was having a little look around in Selfridges, alone and ended up buying all this storage. I had to carry it home along with all my other shopping and going on the tube in rush hour... Picture that haha...

I bought six pieces all together, two of each one. The first one is the 5 drawer box, next is the  2 drawer narrow and the last one is the three section box (I could not find the link for that one)

This is how it looks all put together :)

I haven't sorted everything out completly, I have ideas about how to organize it and I am getting excited about it. I have a lot of makeup. When I went back to Iceland I gave my sister a full bag of makeup and left her with stuff to give to my friends. I will be going through my makeup and trying to condence it but I really like everything I have.

Here are few pictures of the Muji storage.

I have one draw with my high end lipsticks. I got my YSL and Canel lipsticks there because they are my favorite. I recently bought those Topshop Lipsticks but I haven't tried them yet.

Here are some of the things I recently bought. I am very excited to play around with these and I will let you guys know how they are.

I have one very messy Nars draw. I will do a Nars collection soon since that is one of my favorite brands at the moment.

I dedicated two draws to MAC :)

This is the smaller set of draws, it is deeper and therefore perfect for foundations. My benefit box blushes and MAC paint pots fit perfectly in these set of draws.

This is the overview of the three section box, there is no order here. I have random eyeliners, mascaras and concealers in there and I need to sort it out soon.

So then I need to finish sorting out the rest of my makeup, currently it looks like this:

I have two big draws, the bottom one is very deep and I need to find away to organize everything in a better way :)

In the top draw I have this kitchen draw divider and little boxes, that just needs to be tidied up but I like it.

The bottom one is just filed with boxes with makeup like lipsticks and foundations. I have been playing around with this draw and I might have found a way to use it so everything has its own place.

Thanks for reading and let me know what is your favorite way to store your makeup.

I might do an update on this in couple of months when everything is more tidy and perfect :)
