The Sunday Post - What I use for stress break-out!

Hi Everyone,

My last final is in a day and a half, on Tuesday and it is very late on a Sunday right now. I wanted to make a little Sunday Post here just to get my mind off things and share with you some of the things I have been using to battle the affects that stress has on my skin!

I am not wearing as much make up as usual and I keep on touching my face and when I wake up in the morning and I am not putting on makeup I sometimes forget to wash my face. So it gets very gross when that happens. (eww)

Anyway since its has been three weeks of being in study-land I have developed a little routine for keeping my skin clear.

Soap and Glory No Clogs Allowed, Super self-heating face mask: This is a great mask! It is self heating and that was scary at first but now I am in love with it, I only use it every two weeks and it works very well, It really does clear out your pores and unclog any dirt you have. I really feel like my skin is brand new after I get out of the shower when I use this.

Dr Jart+ Clear Away Gel, Exfoliates and Smoothies Skin's surface, This gel exfoliater has very fine mild corns in it. It is meant to use only once or twice a week but I have been using this as a daily cleanser. Since it is just like a gel and not like an exfoliator it has been great. It really helps keeping the spots at minimum and my skin feels great after washing.

La Roche-Posay, Effaclar Duo, This product is amazing, I have had it for a while but I only use it for few weeks and then I save it until I need it. I feel like if I use it everyday for a long time, my skin adjusts to it. This products helps with clogged up pores, it just clears my skin. Effaclar Duo is corrective and unclogging anti-imperfection care. I personally think it stink, as in smells really bad, is that just me? haha but it really works. I use it every morning, before my moisturizer.

Neutrogena, Visibly clear Spot Stress Control. Ultra light spot treatment moisturiser. This moisturiser is very light and feels very nice on the skin. I actually bought it for my boyfriend since he was looking for a light spot treatment. As you can see I have completely stolen it from him and I am using this at night at the moment. It does not dry up my skin, it makes it feels very soft and I love the smell of the product.

The other thing that I have been loving when I get like one big spot straight on my nose, is tea tree oil, I have some from the Body Shop in a small container, I think when that runs out I might go and buy a full size tea tree oil. I use a q-tip and just dip it in the oil and apply it on the spot. The next day it has almost gone! I really love using the tea tree oil.

Keep in mind that every skin is different, please write down in the comments what you use and works for you to get rid of stress spots :)

Btw, I actually use all of these products when I get hormonal spots as well, you know... that can be fun, when I wake up with a BIG spot straight on my nose...

Anyway, wish me good luck on Tuesday and then I am finally finished with my finals!!

Lately...

Hi Everyone,

I started writing this post 13 days ago...

.. it is 1st of December! I am very excited for Christmas since I have spent the last two Christmas' in London. So excited for family time, I will finish school on the 17th and then everyday until Christmas I offered to work at the shoe store..

So now its about two weeks later.. How is that possible? Well I have five finals, four down and one to go. The next one is on Tuesday and then I am free, at least for few weeks :D

For me December is just starting, I have bought one Christmas present, for myself! and shoes for the other half actually.

Image is from my Tumblr, Check it out here

I wanted to share with you few items that I have been using over the last few days, I'm studying from morning to evening everyday but I still want to look fresh or at least like I'm alive haha

For my foundation the Bourjois healthy Mix Serum and for extra coverage I use the Maybellin Fit me concealer, I love it so much.
Nex I use the elf cream blusher and bronzer duo in St. Lucia.
To take away any shine, I am using the Bourjois Healthy Balance Powder, just in the center of my face.
I use Benefit cream eyeshadow, I have two of them and I like them both but in the photo is My two cent.
Maybelline the Falsies has been my mascara of choice and if I feel like it, the Jordana eyeliner is so easy and quick to use.
For lips it's either the Revlon Lip butter in Strawberry Shortcake (Blog post here) or my new Rimmel Color Rush lipbalm in Rumor Has it, so easy but so pretty.
But the main thing are the brushes I have been using none stop through the whole final month.

Real Techniques brushes:
The Buffing brush from the Core Collection - brilliant and so quick to blend out my foundation and even my concealer,
Blush brush - I actually use it or my powder at the moment.
Contour brush - I use this brush in the cream blush and bronzer
The base shadow brush from the Starter collection - Brilliant brush to blend out cream
 eyeshadow.

I have been loving using cream products for these last few weeks, it is really all about being quick applying my makeup these days but still look like I am not a zombie! haha

Thanks for reading!
I will be back before Christmas and I can't wait to get back to my 'Little' blog

The Sunday Post - My little love affair with Chanel

Hi Everyone

It's like one in the morning and I am far behind on my stu-dying, so instead of stressing out I decided to do the one thing that relaxes me... blogging..  a little rumble Sunday post.

I wanted to share with you my little love affair with Chanel makeup. I would probably say I was more of a high street/drugstore kind of gal but I do love high-end brands, I have a good selection of high-end make up and last year my addiction started for real, and the brand that I want everything from is Chanel.

I was gifted a Chanel nail polish in Satin Blue and a Chanel lip gloss in 427, I fell in love!

I had to convince myself to get a Chanel lipstick, (only because I have way too many lipsticks) but it took me about 5 minutes and I bought my first one.

My first Chanel lipstick was the Rouge Allure in Pirate. This is the most perfect red lipstick ever. Pirate is just perfect. No other word to describe this lipstick.
I got it when my sister was in London with me :)
A day before I move back to Iceland, me and Ethan went to Oxford street and had a massive shopping day! and that day I got the Rouge Coco Shine in Saga, it is the perfect every day pink lipstick, I decided that if I could only have one lipstick for the rest of my life this would be it. (and the red one as well, who only has one lipstick)

I love buying new makeup and when I buy more expensive beauty products I like to do it on a special occation.

The best part about both these lipsticks is that I got both of thm for free! I used my Boots points. :)

I know this is only the start to my little affair with Chanel, there is just something about this brand that really makes me happy!

What is your favorite high-end brand?

Thanks for stopping by :)

Mani-Monday - China Glaze & Topshop dots!

Hi Everyone,

In exactly two weeks I will take my first final exam at Uni! So over the next few weeks there will be a bit quiet here... well I should be studying now but I rather blog.. anyone with the same problem?

But I had to post my Mani-Monday since there has been few weeks since my nails showed up on my blog :)

Today I am wearing China Glaze in Merry Berry from last years Christmas Collection and Topshop in Heart of Gold.

I just thought they were a bit festive and I love the China Glaze Merry Berry, it is so shiny and last for ages on my nails.

I used some new dotting tools I got off ebay, I posted a picture of them the other day on my instagram.
@margretscorner

I am wearing the Topshop Heart of Gold for my dots there as well!

Thanks for reading this tiny little post :)

FOTD - Cold November Morning ft. Urban Decay Eyeshadow in Smog

Hi Everyone, today was super cold, I am right now at the library and I am just so cold, the days are getting shorter and now it is almost 5 pm and it's already getting dark outside.

I did go to work this morning, only for like two and a half hour and then straight to school but I managed to take couple of photos of my makeup today, so here is my FOTD :)

I know, I look way too serious, don't ask me why haha

Foundation: Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum - This is my second bottle of this foundation, I had a back up of this one and I have been using the Bourjois healthy mix foundation and keeping the Serum foundation un-open, but few days ago I felt like my skin was dry and getting very dull, so I reached for the Helathy Mix Serum. This foundation really makes my skin look great. I will compare both of the Bourjois foundation soon since  I love both of them so much!

Primer - Benefit 'that gal' brightening primer - since my skin was so dull and tired I grabed this mini size that I have, I think this product is okay, it does the job but I'm not sure if I would buy the full size.

Concealer - Bobbi Brown Corrector in Porcelein Peach, this corrector saves my face most mornings since I have really dark circles,

And to finish off my base I used Soap and Glory, One Heck of a Blot powder :)

Eyes:
Urban Decay Eyeshadow in Smog - I took a old Urban Decay Palette with me today, called Show Pony. Mainly because it has Toasted in it, (the same Toasted that is in the Naked original palette). So when I was about to do my makeup I had like a 'hey this palette has Smog in it' moment. Smog is also in the Original Naked palette and it is a beautiful bronze-brown eyeshadow

For my eyeliner I used Jordana Fabu Liner and my mascara is Maybelline the Falsies Waterproof in extra black.

I have Revlon Kissable Lip Balm Stain in Honey on my lips and for my blush I used  FashionistA blush in Butterscotch, I love this neutral blush, it is so pretty

So that was my quick FOTD on this super cold November morning :)

Cherry Culture Haul

Hi Everyone :)

I was just browsing online and I saw that Cherry Culture has offer on almost every NYX products and then a 25% off NYX products as well at the moment, it ends tomorrow but there are always some sort of offers. The code is NYX2513
Check out Cherry Culture here

Last time when they had NYX on an offer I made an order and I was so happy with the price and how fast the parcel arrived. Here is my late 'little' haul

NYX Eyeshadow Trio in Copper/Rust/Bronze -
I am actually re-purchasing this eyeshadow trio. Few years ago I 'borrowed' this eyeshadow trio from my mum and forgot to give it back haha, it was well loved and so broken after few years and I had to throw it away, there was only one eyeshadow left in the trio anyway. When I saw it on the website I knew I would love it again.

NYX Round lipstick in Spell Bound - This is a dupe for MAC Chatterbox, I will see if I can borrow chatterbox from my sister to do a blog post about these.

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Instanbul - I really wanted to try this and I like it so far. You can see it in action here.

NYX Mega Shine Lip Gloss in Beige - Omgosh, this is my favorite lip gloss!

Jordana Fabu Liner - I saw loads of people talk about this eyeliner on YouTube and since it was so affordable I bought two, just in case if I would love it that much, I would need a back up.

Milani Color Statement Lipsticks in Sangria and Flamingo Pose - I saw these lipsticks for only $5.49 such a good price, Few months ago I read about these lipsticks on Beauty Broadcast and Emily had posted review off all of them, I looked at her swatches and found the two that I had to have. I really want Primrose as well, there are so many pretty colors.

NYX blushers in Peach and Dusty Rose - These are one of my favorites blushers and I have to do a post soon with the NYX blushers that I have, Dusty Rose is a perfect winter blush!

NYX eyeshadows in Taupe Pearl, Eggplant and Green Tea - NYX eye shadows are such a great quality and these singles are amazing, Love love the eggplant one, I have a FOTD using it here.

I am very tempting to make an order right this second, but I am already waiting on clothing orders from boohoo.com and asos.com

Is online shopping a addiction? nooo not when you are stressed out of your mind and need a bit of retail therapy haha

FOTD - Shades of Fall ft. No7 Truffle eyeshadow

Hi Everyone!

I took these photos few weeks ago and I keep on forgetting to post them so before it's too late to post them here is my Shades of Fall :)

I think it is easy to 'update' your makeup bag for a new season, even though right now in Iceland it is not even fall anymore, it's just cold haha.

For fall I think a neutral blush is really pretty and I love this MUA blush in Cupcake, so affordable.
For lips I like darker lips this season and Revlon Kissable Balm Stain in Crush is perfect.
A beautiful eyeshadow all over the lid is a great way to look like you put some effort in your make up and I am loving No7 Eyeshadow in Truffle.
I have also grabbed my Rimmel Kohl eyeliner for a smudge to define my eyes a bit more.

Face:
 No7 Stay Perfect Foundation
Bobbi Brown Corrector in Porcelain Peach
Rimmel Wake me up Concealer
FashionistA Pressed Powder

Eyes:
I used Soap and Glory Neutral Palette, the light brown and dark brown shades in the crease , just to make it easier to blend out the other color. Then the creamy white shadow on my brow bone.
For a inner corner highlight I used a tiny bit of the lightest shade in the Walking on Eggshells palette from Wet n' Wild.
Then I used the No7 eyeshadow called Truffle all over the lid.

No7 Eyeshadow in Truffle

This is a brown shimmery color with a hint of gold/bronze warm tones. It suits my green eyes perfectly and I think it makes them stand out. It is a great eyeshadow and blends nicely.

The price is £7 but with all No7 products, you should wait until you can get a voucher and that would be £3 off so I would totally recommend buying this eyeshadow for £4. I think it is a bargain when you use the vouchers.

Then I used my Rimmel Scandaleyes khol eyeliner on the waterline and I also tight lined my upper lashes and just to give my eyes definition I just pressed tiny bit of liner into my lashes.

For a mascara I used my Dior Diorshow Waterproof mascara and it is almost finished so I must hurry and do a post about it because it is brilliant.

For my cheeks I used the contour color from the Sleek Face Form palette, it is a matte and perfect for contouring.
For my blush I used the MUA Cupcake blush. It is a brilliant matte dusty soft peach, but very neutral color, a perfect Autumn blush.

My Lipstick is Revlon Kissable Balm stain in Crush is a great long-wearing shade, it is a deep berry shade and compliments the eyeshadow perfectly.
I really like all the Revlon Kissable balm stain and in America they have brought out a glossy and matte version and I hope that one day I can get my hands on those.
Have you tried them yet?

So that was my Face of the 'day' even though it is couple of weeks old, I still hope you enjoyed it :)

The Sunday Post

Hi Everyone

It's Sunday Evening and I just wanted to blog a little bit, I didn't really want to edit photos or write a review but just a little catch up and a ramble..

Uni is getting more manic every day and I am starting some sort of Final Exam 'boot camp' next week for two of my courses. Apparently it is the way to get you through it with good grade. It is expensive but I really want to go. Would you spend 70 pounds for one course 'boot camp' 5 days intensive studying and going through over ten old exams? These five days are spread over a month.. Well I think I will fork out the money.. for both courses, so goodbye 140 quid :'(

On the other hand Downton Abbey started showing here in Iceland tonight and omgosh.. I am a big Downton fan and I really really really love it! What did you think of the first episode? If you want to talk Downton, come and chat with me on my tumblr here. I personally love Mr Branson, Anna and Mr Bates. I almost cried when Lady Mary cried with Mr Carlson! And that Nany West, I would of killed her right then and there. Seriously, I have so much to talk about but I don't want to leave any spoilers here!
I really recommend this Tv show, it is such a surprise when you start watching it!

Two other shows that I am addicted to right now but will be a subject for another blog post are The only way is Essex and Grey's Anatomy..

I have been going over some of my random photos and sometimes it is so difficult to post on Instagram since I have a horrible phone that does not listen to orders, I have loads of random ones and here is one pretty one of one of my favorite nail polishes :)

Here I am wearing China Glaze, Orange Knockout (Neon) and the glitter on my ring finger is Nicole by OPI, Rainbow in the S-Kylie from the Kardashian Collection.

Also I did a cheeky little MUA shopping the other day and instead of posting a full Haul here on my blog, I posted a picture of the Haul on Facebook, You can check out my Facebook page and like it if you want  :)
Here is what I bought...

From left to right:
MUA matte lipsticks
FashionistA gel liner in Cute Route
FashionstA Shine Stopper, Loose Powder
MUA Matte Foundation
FashionistA Secret Mattifying Primer
MUA Cover All Concealer
MUA Lash Boom

Have you tried any of these products? I have started playing around with them, So far, so good!
I can't wait to try Lash Boom but I have too many mascaras at the moment so I am saving that one.

Enough with the rambling tonight, I am already feeling bit more relaxed so I might go to school tomorrow or just take a day to read and chill, I was at school yesterday (Saturday) and also today so maybe I will just not go.. sometimes you just need days like that right..

Thanks for reading and hopefully you are having a nice Sunday!

My Thoughts On.. Flawless by Sonya Lipsticks

Hi Everyone!

The other day I got a opportunity to try out the new and improved make-up from Flawless by Sonya (from Forever Living Product).
I was so lucky that I got to keep some of my favorites.

I think that the number one product from the new line are the lipsticks. There are 12 new shades and they range from very dark to the perfect nude.

The formula is great, very moisturizing and stays on. The formula is of course infused with Aloe Vera since this is from Forever Living Product. They do remind me of a mixture between Revlon Lip butters and The Rimmel Moisture Renew lipsticks.
The lipsticks are very pigmented and all the colors give great color pay off except there is one that looks bright red but is not bright red on the lips when applied, I think for those who want to start wearing red lipsticks that one is a great start since it gives a beautiful red tint to the lips.
There is also a dark purple that is so unique and is great for those who dare to try something edgy and different. And there is also the perfect nude lipstick, that is just so creamy and gorgeous.

But I could just describe you the lipsticks I don't have or show you the ones that I have since I could not put them down and they really stood up for me.

How sleek and pretty is the packaging, the case is this purple metallic with the Sonya logo, so pretty!

Here are the colors I really loved and I think they range from a beautiful pink/nude to a deep plum color for the winter months

Guava
It is more nude-pink than the photo shows, if I want to wear subtle nude lipstick, nude/pink is the best way for me to wear them since I am so pale (sometimes I just wear what ever lipstick I want though haha)
It is very creamy and the reason why I picked this color is that it reminds me of a mixture between MAC Angel and MAC Hue, both that are two of my favorite MAC lipsticks.
I think this is the perfect every day lipstick.

Watermelon
This color was the first one that I knew I had to have, It is the perfect summer lipstick but even though we are far into autumn I am still wearing it! It is again so creamy and applies so well. The color itself brightens up my complexion. I really like wearing this color with simple eye makeup, it really looks great.
I was wearing it the other day and I got loads of compliments so I know it looks good when people tell you right?

Pomegranate
This is the perfect Autumn lipstick. Such a beautiful deep pink/red shade, It looks great for a bit darker lips in the autumn/winter months. So pretty, I would say the name is spot on and it does look like a pinky Pomegranate fruit.

Plum
I think this shade will be great for the Holiday season. It is very deep plum. I love shades like this and I love wearing these kind of lipsticks during the day with bright eyes and neutral blush. It goes on so well and does not bleed outside the lips. I was wearing it the other day for about 3 hours before I had something to eat and then I had to re-apply it. So I think that is a pretty good lasting power.
I would totally recommend it!

So how and where do you get these lipsticks?

They are from Forever Living Products and the brand is Flawless by Sonya.
To get items from FLP you have to buy it from a representative, (similar like Avon). You can search online to find some one near you, they have representative in most countries and if you are in Iceland and you are interested here is the Forever Living Product official website, and here you can find just the Flawless by Sonya on Facebook. :)

I was given these products and these are my honest opinions. I got to try and test the whole range and I only picked items that I really liked and that I would have bought myself with my own money.
Thanks for Reading :)

Lipstick of the Day #6 Soap and Glory - Pom Pom

Hi Everyone :)

If there is a lipstick that says Autumn/Fall this is it.
This is a Matte lipstick in the most beautiful deep berry/pinky shade

The lipstick is from Soap and Glory, the The Super Colour Fabulipstick Powdercoat Matte Lipstick line, (what a long name haha), but there are only three shades in this matte lipstick line but Soap and Glory do more lipsticks just with a different finishes, more creamy. You can see all the matte ones here on the Soap and Glory website.

When I saw Pom Pom for the first time I knew I had to have it! It is just that kind of lipstick.

The packaging is amazing, since  this is a matte lipstick the case is matte and has the iconic pink writing on the case.
The lipstick itself has the Soap and Glory logo on it. It is so pretty, I love small details like that.

How pretty is the color?
Such a great color for this time of year. It is so opaque and even though it is matte it is not drying at all.
It is kinda deep pink/berry color with blue undertones. I really like the deep berry color and I think it would suit a lot of different skin tones.

This lipstick was part of my Getting Ready for Fall Post, You can see that post here.
It is on the pricier side of 'drugstore' with the price tag of £9 but the lipstick is worth it! It feels very luxurious on the lips, quite velvety and the packaging is just stunning.

Overall the Soap and Glory lipstick in Pom Pom is a total hit in my books!

Have you tried any lip products from Soap and Glory?

Thanks for reading :)
