Lipstick of the day #2 - MUA in Nectar

Todays Lipstick of the day is MUA in Nectar

It is no secret that I have a love/hate relationship with MUA
For example their lipsticks... Some are amazing and some are not as amazing...
Let me explain, I bought a bright pink lipstick from them and there was hardly any color pay off, some of the colors have glitter in them which I hate...
But, there are few colors that are amazing and I am planning few MUA posts including my lipsticks from MUA so keep in touch to see that :)

Shade 16 called Nectar is one of the amazing lipsticks from MUA, it is very creamy and the color payoff is very opaque. It is a nice summery color, a bright coral color with pink undertones, at least on my skin tone it is amazing. It is such a nice everyday lipstick as well..

I am loving these Lipstick of the day post, it is so easy and quick to do and I am really getting back on the blogging train haha.

What do you think?
Do you like the MUA lipsticks? For the price you can't really go wrong...

Today's Mani-Monday is Nails Inc. St. James.

This is such a pretty classic color, a true shiny red. and it has tiny sparkles, you can't really see it on the nails, only in the bottle. It gives the nail polish a special 'umph'...

That is the fact about Nails Inc. polishes, the have a special something...
Plus I do love the name since they are all 'London' things :)

You can find the color here and it retails for £11.

My Thoughts On... No7 Extravagant Volume Mascara (Waterproof) and FOTD

Hey Everyone!
Today I am going to give you my thoughts on the No7 Extravagant Volume Waterproof Mascara.

Correct me if I am wrong but I think this is an older product but in new packaging with improved formula? At least that is what I think and I have not found any other information online. There is the Extravagant Lashes Mascara which is different.

This mascara has had horrible reviews online and I kinda understand why...
The wand is huge and there is a lot of product left on the wand when you take the wand out. It can really clump your lashes together if you are not careful.
However, if I am being really honest... I liked it.
It coated all my lashes (sometimes too much) and gave me volume and length...

The more the mascara dries out the more difficult it is to apply it. The product ends up clumping on the wand. It was really good in the beginning but I have had mine now for about 2-3 months and it used to be better, still I keep on using it instead of some of my other mascaras.

Here you can see how clumpy the wand gets.

The wand is a plastic wand with tiny spikes at the end of the wand.
It has tiny bristles and there is space between them.
I feel like the formula is wet and especially when the mascara is new.

So this is how the lashes end up, I only applied one coat and I feel like the waterproof formula held the curl well through out the day.
You can see a bit of clumping but still I like it, I am not a big fan of very natural looking lashes because my eyes will just look un-done.
I have the most boring, straight lashes ever and I like it how the mascara makes my lashes look.

The waterproof formula is good, it is not the most waterproof mascara I have used and it does flake if you cry, no smudging just flaking. It stays on all day and if there is no crying or raining, it will hold up well without smudging.

Overall this mascara has a huge wand, it collects extra product on the wand and that can cause clumping.
I feel like it gives me normal length and volume.
The formula becomes worse as it dries out.
The waterproof formula is good and does not smudge.

Haul! Goodies from America!

Since I moved to Iceland (3 weeks ago) I thought I would not be shopping for make up for a long time, however my friend was also moving to Iceland few days later and guess what? She was moving from Seattle! So I asked her to pick few things up for me and I regret not asking her to buy the whole store!

I have never tried anything from Wet n' Wild or e.l.f. so I asked her to pick up things that I have heard everyone talk about but never seen or tried!

Wet n' Wild lipstick in Sugarplum Fairy (Dupe for MAC Rebel, there will defo be a post about that)
e.l.f. blush in Twinkle Pink
e.l.f. blush and contour duo in St. Luicia
Wet n' Wild palette in Comfort Zone
Wet n' Wild palette in Walking on Eggshells.

I am sooooo excited to try all of these products.

I am so excited about these new things :)

Have you tried any of these and what are your favorite??

You can tell me in the comments below and if you have a blog and please leave your link so I can check that out :)

Mani-Monday #5 - Barry M in Peach Melba

It's Tuuuueesday! I forgot to post this yesterday so let's just pretend it is still a Monday haha!

Peach Melba from Barry M is a very interesting color, it is not one of my favorite but it still is a very beautiful color. It is a creamy peacy (duh, the name?) color.

It is a great pastel color, It takes two coats to get it to be opaque, the first one is very streaky and if you apply the second coat on the thicker side it looks great.
I used my top coat on top to have it extra long lasting and shiny :)

If you 'Like' my Mani-Monday, feel free to jump over to my Facebook page and 'like' it too :)
I also have a Twittter that I am trying to get into so Tweet me your Mani-Mondays @margretscorner

Lipstick of the day #1 - Rimmel Apocalips in Stellar

Hi Everyone!
Long time no blogging... (not the first time I have started a blog like this haha)
Well anyway I am in Iceland!
I just moved from London and I am now home in Iceland, so excuse the quite-ness on the blog, it has been busy few weeks...

So, I have too many lipsticks so I thought to myself I need to start doing Lipstick of the day...

Today I was wearing Rimmel Apocalips in Stellar.
It is a liquid lipstick and applies like a lipgloss but it is sooo opaque.
I love this bright cherry red/pink color for summer.
It is perfect for statement lips and I think it suits a lot of skin tones.
There is only one thing I have to say about this lipstick and that is the scent.
All Rimmel product have a very obvious scent and I don't like it, but the scent does not stay on the lips, the scent disappears straight when you apply the lipstick.
I feel like it is long wearing and it wears off nicely.

Overall I love it!

What do you think of this lipstick?
Have you tried it?

Get in touch on facebook, Twitter, Tumblr or just leave me a comment :)
